The Christmas Present

AN: This is my attempt to get back to writing. Just a little drabble. Hope ya like.

Walking back into the house while sorting through the mail; Willow. Dawn. Xander. Giles. Dawn. Giles. Dawn. Faith. Buf- Buffy stopped when she came upon a large manila envelope with her name on it. There was no return address, but the writing was very familiar. She hurried and sat the rest of the mail on the table, and ripped into the envelope.
Inside, she found a small cardboard sleeve with a jewelry store's name on it. Opening one end of it, she turned it on it's side and out came something shiny and a little piece of paper. Picking up the paper, she looked at the object still in her hand.
At once, her eyes widened and tears came to her eyes. She quickly unfolded the paper and read:
Buffy-
To replace the one that was lost.
Forever, that was the whole point...
Merry Christmas, Buffy.

Buffy slipped the ring on her finger, as she smiled. "Forever," she whispered.
