Just a small NaruSaku oneshot that popped into my head!
please read and review!
Naruto grumbled angrily and glared at his sensei.
"KAKASHI-SENSEI, WHY ARE WE BEING ASSINGED ANOTHER D-RANK MISSION? RAKING LEAVES?? We should be on B-rank missions by now, at least!"
12-year-old Sakura shook her head reprovingly at the irrepressible Naruto, jumping around as she arranged her leaves into a careful pile. Sakura picked some of her leaves up and chucked them at Naruto's head, forgetting a stick that happened to be lodged inbetween the red and gold.
"OWW! SAKURA-CHAN!"
"Naruto baka, shut up!" she said, banging her rake down on his head, raising it for another blow when Kakashi interrupted them, nose still buried in his book.
"Go sort out your differences in that shed over there," he muttered, shoving them through the door. Sasuke watched, flicking his dark bangs out of his eyes.
"Losers," he thought contemptously, stabbing his pile.
Naruto and Sakura stared at each other in the dark barn. Naruto opened his mouth to say something, but Sakura beat him to it.
"YOU BAKA! WE'RE NOW STUCK IN THIS DARK STUPID SHED BECAUSE YOU!"
"ME?! WHY DON'T YOU JUST ADMIT THAT YOU LIKE ME INSTEAD OF CHUCKING PIECES OF WOOD AT ME?!
"FINE! I LIKE YOU!"
"SEE! I TOLD YOU YOU DIDN'T--" Naruto stared at Sakura, mouth dropping open.
"What?" he said quietly, not believing his ears.
"I like you!"
"No you don't! You like Sasuke! You're always abandoning me for Sasuke! You--!" Naruto shouted, but getting interrupted by Sakura yelling back.
"ARE YOU CRAZY?! THAT WAS ALL JUST A DISGUISE! What did he have that you did not have more of? You actually care about people...and that's why I like you so much."
Naruto looked at her, unable to believe what she was saying. Sakura looked at him, wondering how in the world she could make him believe her.
"What will it take for you to trust me?" she asked, whispering the words softly. Making up her mind, she took 3 giant steps towards Naruto, wrapped her arms around him, and tilted her lips upward, pecking him quickly on the lips.
Kyuubi purred, causing Naruto to make rumbling sounds also. Sakura smiled into Naruto's chest, holding him close.
Kakashi deactivated his Sharingan and returned to his book.
"Finally...when they're older, they may be something to watch...heeheehee," he thought with a perverted smirk. Sasuke looked at Kakashi weirdly and edged away.
Naruto and Sakura came out of the shed with huge smiles and got to work immediately, occasionally exchanging knowing smiles and glances.
Ahh, first love. Naruto could say the feeling was at least as good as eating ramen.
