I walked outside the orphanage to feel an autumn breeze brushing past me. I looked down to see birdy in his cage, my left hand clenched the handle to his cage tightly. On the ground there were orange leaves covering the grass. I looked up and walked a few steps, hearing the crunch from the leaves as they met with the heel of my black shoes. I looked up to the sky to see a tree with not many leaves left on it. One leaf fell down from the tree and landed on top of my head. I took my right hand and grabbed the leaf, taking it off of my head. I looked at it closely to see it wasn't completely orange, I could still see a hint of green. I smiled slightly, autumn always seems to be the season that relaxes me the most. Whenever Diana stresses me out, I just love coming outside to feel the wind brush through my short, black hair and the sound of birds chirping, not just birdy. I took a deep breath, letting the autumn air sink in. I wasn't even aware of the wide smile that was spread across my face. I just wanted to stand out here and let the day just pass me by. However, I wasn't that lucky, when I heard the wicked voice of Diana calling me, telling me to come back inside. I sighed and obliged, walking up to the door. I heard the leaves crunch even more as I continued walking. Once I reached the door, I looked back at the tree with barely any leaves. I closed my eyes, hopefully, i'll be able to spend the rest of my day outside, tomorrow.
