Holy? He scoffed at the word. Vincent one shot with maybe a Follow up
Holy? He scoffed at the word. He was anything but. He was a demon. A monstrosity conceived by Hojo and the Mako experiments. He also had to watch as Lucretia cried after giving birth to Sephiroth. He remembered her precise words, 'MY SON! Let me hold him! Just once!' Pain spread across Vincent's face as those words echoed in his mind. "…Lucretia…I'm sorry…I could not save you from him," Vincent whispered to the cool midnight air. Vincent shifted his gaze; there were others he could save. This tainted him more. For starters there was his mother and father. He killed his mother, when he was born. And he wasn't there to defend his father. Then in his Turk years there was Mika Shinra. The first Mako experiment. The woman that began Hojo's mania with Jenova and Mako; he had failed to protect her too. Then now, Aerith. It was his job; his and Cloud's job to watch the Cetra. But in a blink of an eye, she was gone. Only to leave a note; Gone to call upon Holy – Aerith.
Holy? What a coincidence. By chance of the name; what was going to save him and the ragtag group was contradictory of his being. And that night to save someone like him and humankind like this? To summon something amazing, to be in that place, that city, and also to have her blood spilled upon that alter by a fallen angel. To save them. He thought for a long while. 'That's what they all did, they died for me and the others around me,' he thought with a bow of his head. But to him, he wasn't worthy of being saved. To him he was manifested and tainted. Finally, Vincent walked away from the water and started up his motorcycle, and he drove off. Departing the Forgotten Capital.
Holy? Maybe he though he wasn't worth saving. But he never looked past his sins. But to the others around him he thought he was worth everything. They looked past the transgression to see the man; called Vincent Valentine. And to them he was Holy enough.
