It was a golden afternoon. Baby Kitty (short for Katherine) had been born, not two hours ago. And not two hours ago had she been a shrieking, red-faced, wrathful little anti-Christ. But now, a change had occurred. While her-dog tired parents had hit the bricks, having used up every fiber of their being trying to quiet their "darling child" But in the length of their slumber the whining, howling, shrieking brat had been transformed into a joyous little angel, who was serene and calm as a lily on the water. She was lying in the comfort of her crib, staring with awe-filled eyes at the nifty little chandelier the gardener had fashioned for her. It really was rather sweet of him. considering that she'd managed to somehow give him a black eye, when her parents handed her over to him.
Kitty was captivated by the pink and purple hippo, encompassing the span of her crib via the mobile. She was much more interested in it than the sunshine-colored giraffe, the fuschia elephant, and the lavender rhinoceros. And as she watched "Google" (as she had already mentally christened the latter) make one full session around the crib, it was then she emitted her first laugh. She would never realize the outcome of her laugh or what a difference it had made on certain lives in a certain world far away in a place called pixie hollow.
