At first they were friends content with each other
But then their feelings arose for one another
But it was 1987 and their love could not be
It was a forbidden kind of love that anybody could see
But it was love none the less, if only meant to be
Jack could care less of what other had to think
Even his father in his selfish ways
But Hiccup thought differently
He cared what they'd say
So he distanced himself and his forbidden lover
He saw the way Jack's father looked him.
And could take it no longer
So Hiccup left his hometown and never looked back.
Jack found out soon later too late to avoid it.
He succumbed to his father's will with his heart in pieces.
Jack and Elsa were wed and had 3 beautiful girls.
Now a teacher in Arandelle High,
Jack learned to love again, even if that love wasn't whole.
But then life had decided she wasn't done with him, and turned his life around again.
School has just begun and along with it a new teacher.
Jack was to show the new cooking teacher around the school.
He was glad to do it, until he saw who it was.
Hiccup now 27, was a gorgeous human being.
Not a thing about Hiccup has changed.
Except for this left hand.
Where Jack could see a golden band around Ross' finger.
A wedding ring.
Hiccup was married.
With great difficulty, Jack smiled and said,
"Welcome back."
And with sorrow and regret in the eyes, Hiccup replies,
"It's good to be back."
