Grand Noah, Noah, Sentora
1 Year After The Defeat Of Ilias
Pain was all I felt as I swiftly opened my eyes, mostly in my right arm. As my eyes opened, bright light engulfed my vision and I was forced to close them. I waited a second and opened my eyes again, this time slower. As my eyes adjusted and I sat up in what seemed to be a small bed, I felt that something was insanely wrong. I couldn't place it yet. So, once my eyes adjusted, I looked around. I was in a small bedroom by the looks of it. A single candle lit up the room, as there were no windows. The only other thing in the room was a chest near the closed door. It was then only one question ran through my brain.
"Where am I?" The room felt almost medieval. I heard shuffling and in came a man, couldn't be older than 25. He had short, dark brown hair and deep green eyes. His skin was moderately tan and his clothes were plain. Just a tan shirt and dark brown pants.
"Seems you're finally awake," he said shaking me out of my stupor. "You're in the city of Grand Noah."
"Huh," I said. "What country is that in?"
"You mean continent?" he questioned. "We're on Sentora."
"What?" I said confused. "Sentora? That's not a continent."
He just stood there for a second, then spoke up. "Where are you from?"
"Me? I'm...from…" I gathered my thoughts but...for some reason I couldn't remember. "What the hell?"
"What's hell?" he said. "Are you okay?"
"I'm not sure," I muttered. As I searched my memory, something even worse came into my mind. "I don't remember anything."
"You don't remember anything? What do you mean?" he questioned.
"Like I don't remember anything," I said. "Where I'm from, where I am...who I am."
"Oh dear," he said wide eyed. "I think you have amnesia."
"What?!" I said. I didn't want to believe it, but as I searched for any memories, the reality set in. "I...this can't be happening."
"This is bad…" the man said. "There's only been a few cases of amnesia, but even then, it wasn't this bad."
I stood up, pushing off the bed with my arms, and immediately regretted the fact as my right arm stung.
"Ow!" I yelped.
"Whoa!" the man exclaimed. "Careful there fella! You're arm is still healing."
I looked down at my arm, there were bandages on it.
"It was in quite the rough shape when we found you right outside the city," he said. "Luckily, it's been healing pretty swiftly. But you shouldn't use it too much."
I stood there for a second.
"Look," the man said. "I can't imagine what this must be like. Maybe the Queen might know."
I nodded, I didn't know who the Queen was exactly. But I was still dazed. I then thought of something. "Can you take me to where you found me? Maybe that'll jog my memories."
"Yeah sure," the man said. He then realized my implications. "Now?"
"Why not? I feel fine, other than the arm." I smiled weakly.
"It's not just that," he said. "There's been some rouge monster sightings outside the city."
It took me a second to register what he just said. "Sorry, did you just say 'monster'?"
He looked at me like I was crazy, "Don't tell me...you remember the monster race right?"
I laughed, in spite of my predicament, "You're messing with me I see, monsters aren't real."
He didn't say anything. That's when I realized he wasn't kidding.
"You're serious…" I muttered.
"Well yeah," he said. "Monsters have been around for as long as we can remember. Though they weren't always this friendly, then again, neither were we I suppose."
"What were they like before you all became friends?" I asked.
"Don't get me wrong, there's still bad ones, both people and monsters. But before the defeat of Ilias, monsters did whatever they could to survive."
I ignored whoever Ilias was and asked the more important question, "Like what?"
"You know, rape men, eat them, sometimes both," he said. It was like my mind stopped working. Did he just say what I think he said? I blurted out the first thing that came to mind.
"Why would they do horrible stuff like that?!" I exclaimed.
"Because it's in their blood," he said. "It's just monster nature to want semen."
"That's really weird," I said. "But why just males?"
"Man you really don't know do you?" he sighed. I just shook my head. "All monsters are female."
I just looked at him in shock for a couple seconds until I recovered and shook my head. "Okay that's enough talk. Let's just go to where you discovered me and then I'll see the Queen."
"Alright," he said, probably glad to be done explaining this crazy shit to me anyways. "Maybe she could make all this easier for you anyway. Put you in the right direction."
"I hope so…" I said. "By the way what's your name?"
"Bill," he said.
"Nice to mee-" I was interrupted by shouting from outside.
"What the?" Bill said, seemingly confused and ran out the room. Naturally, I followed, wanting to know what the hell was going on now. We ran into what was probably the living room. We looked out the window, into what I guess was the city. It looked really old fashioned. But that wasn't the big deal. People were running from something. It was what looked to be a woman with no clothes on from the top, which was odd enough. But her bottom half was that of a snake. It was surreal, just looking at her.
"Is that?" I started.
"A monster," Bill finished. "A lamia, and a strong looking one at that."
I stared in shock out the window, people were running into their houses. But then a kid tripped. The lamia, noticing this, started slithering over to him.
"She wouldn't!" I exclaimed, realizing the situation.
"Yeah," he said, concerned. "Hopefully the guards will be here soon."
But I knew the guards weren't gonna make it. The lamia was closing in. It was suicide, but I couldn't just stand there. I ran to the door that led outside.
"Don't!" Bill exclaimed, but I didn't listen. It was now or never, so I ran out the door and started to shout at the lamia. Once I gathered her attention, I dropped my pants, luckily I had underwear on still. But the lamia got the message and ran...er slithered towards me. Almost immediately she pushed me to the ground, and tore off my shirt. I struggled, this was it, I was going to lose my virginity to a monster. At least I think so, can't even remember if I've had sex before. And I was possibly going to die.
"Semen!" the lamia shouted, her eyes were bloodshot. I could tell she wasn't in her right mind. She looked down to my underwear and I gulped. But before she could do anything else, something whizzed past my ear and a dart or something hit the lamia on her shoulder. The lamia, looking confuse, looked up. Her eyes then suddenly rolled back and she fell down beside me. I looked at her, her eyes were closed and her chest was moving ever so slightly. The dart must've been some sort of a tranquilizer or something.
"Hey," someone started running over to me. It looked to be a person clad in light metal armor. Yep, definitely old school. "Are you alright sir?"
"Mentally or physically?" I asked rhetorically. When he looked at me confused, I said, "I'm fine."
Then Bill came over and lent me his hand, I took it and he pulled me up. "Geez man, that sure was a risky move."
"Yeah, I know," I said. "The kids alright, right?"
Bill nodded, "Yes, his parents are looking after him now. But I gotta admit, you sure were brave."
"But also stupid," another person said from behind. I turned around to see a woman, dressed...weirdly. Her outfit was a lotta purple and, definitely exposing. But then I noticed her tail and horns.
"Are you a monster too?" I asked.
She looked at me weirdly for a second, then laughed, "Well duh. What do you think I am?"
I couldn't answer that without sounding like an idiot.
"Is he alright?" one of the guards said. "You didn't hit your head right?"
Bill decided to step up, and started explaining my situation. It was then I noticed the Lamia started convulsing quietly. No one else had noticed yet.
"Hey," Bill said, noticing my look of confusion. "You good?"
"Is...is the lamia supposed to do that?" I asked, pointing at it. As soon as everyone started looking at it, it stopped convulsing.
"What?" the woman/monster asked.
Suddenly, the lamia's mouth opened and out came some sort of dark blue gas.
"Umm…" Bill said, looking just as confused as I was. Suddenly, as the dark blue gas started swirling around, my head started aching. I heard a voice.
"We meet again, Ken," the voice said. The headache got worse as the voice continued speaking. I could hear nothing else. "Don't worry, I won't kill you yet. I have bigger plans, and besides, it's not like you can do anything in the state you're in. Goodbye for now."
After he stopped talking, I felt really dizzy, and fell to the ground as I blacked out.
