Hancock almost missed the moon, he could just float around be calm, no one needed saving on the moon (unless you count the Clangers). Back in the real world was tough, since he sobered up; he had to live through every second instead of living in a state of drunken sleepiness. However nothing compared to the rush he got every time he was called in to sort out some criminal or other that would try his luck at calling him an asshole.

"Mr Hancock?" who else would it be? He was sitting on top of U.S. Bank Tower - 1,018 ft. off the ground, with an eagle. He turned to face his addresser.

"Riiiiggghht, so what are you some sort'a walking talking red and gold jelly baby?" he joked but he knew exactly who this metal man was.

"If jelly babies are weaponized these days then err…yes."

"What can I do you for Mr Tony Stark?" Stark opened his helmet to face him properly.

"Your escapades last month didn't go unnoticed, everyone is talking about John Hancock."

"Jealous Stark?"

"Hardly."

"So you're not here to tell me to 'get off your planet'?"

"I'm asking you to join the group that's tasked with saving it."

"A super-secret boy band is it?" he got up from his perch on the ledge.

"No, there is a girl too."

"Why should I trust you?" Hancock now stood toe to toe with Stark, looking him up and down, "You're just a guy in a suit."

"And you're what?"

"I've saved people's lives; you've wrecked a highway."

"I've saved thousands from rouge robots; you made a mess of the moon."

"I think it's an improvement."

"You would."

"So who's in charge then? Obviously not you, they always send the bagman for the first meet."

"I like to think of myself as more of a consultant."

"A consultant eh? Not part of the real team then, sucks for you."

"Is that a yes?"

"No."

"No?"

"Yes."

"What are you actually saying?"

"I'll meet with your boss, just to talk."

"Great, see you at band practice tomorrow at eight pm, my place yeah?"

Hancock said nothing, just kept unblinking eye contact. A team? He wasn't much of a team player, but maybe that was something else to be worked on, probably worth the meeting just for the banter with Stark. As soon as Stark put his helmet back over his face he started up the suit's jets and flew off into the LA Sunset.

A/N- This was meant to be a full story with Bkaa19 but I fear for its life seeing as there hasn't been any progress for nearly two years now. So I thought I'd post this, just to give anyone who cares a little something.
