Uzumaki Naruto, had hatred, some were not his own. In the end it didn't matter that he couldn't save Sasuke. It didn't matter that Kakashi couldn't love him back. It didn't matter that Sakura accepted what he was inside. It didn't matter that he lost himself. None of it mattered as he watched the fires grow and become one, or as blood saturated the air, or as the screams was slowly becoming less. Glancing down at the blood on his clothes, he knew who he was now. They had paid in full.

Smiling he walked away, Gaara would hear of his departure. He would send Suna ninja's to find survivors and he would find Kakashi looking through the rubble. Kakashi was on a mission in snow, he would return soon. Gaara would take him in. Gaara would understand. Gaara would be fine. Konoha was no more. He was finally free.
