Rose reached over for a card and sighed. "Well, this one is stupid," she grumbled.
"What is it?" asked Esme.
Group Task: Jokes Run
To laugh, giggle, gasp, and chortle! A good laugh always does a body good. Now, it's time to test your joking skills! Pick a topic and make as many puns or jokes as you can.
1 point: 1 minute run. Wow, that's impressive.
3 points: 3 minute run. Not bad, just not good.
5 points: 5 minute run. Go, baby, go!
10 points: Greater than 5 minutes. Welcome to clown college!
"So, what should be use as a 'joke run'?" grumbled Rose, disbelief on her face.
"Vampire," I blurted out, blushing the minute it slipped out. Alice grinned at me and Esme raised her eye brow. My face instantly turned tomato and I immediately wished to call it back.
Rose gave me a sour look. "That's going to get real old, real fast. We should pick something else."
"Oh, lighten up, Rose!" stated Alice, her lips pursed close together. "It's not such a sucky idea."
"Yes, Rose," Esme agreed, catching on quickly. "It's not like you have…a stake in this game or anything."
Alice and I started to snicker quietly. Rose narrowed her eyes at us, just glaring. I tried to cover up my laugh, not wanting to make her angry. We were just trying to have fun…
"Now, girls, you might want to let up. You don't want to cross Rose when she's angry," I blurted out, keeping my face blank as I glanced at Rose. Rose just gapped back at me, too shocked to glare anymore. My snickers grew and I clasped my hands over my mouth to hold them in
"Nice one, Bella," whispered Alice, also trying to hide her laughter and failing.
Rose glared at each of us in turn and flipped her hair back angerly.
"Bite me," she retorted.
We all howled with laughter.
"Wow, that was fast, Rose!" chorted Alice.
"Bloody brilliant," I agreed.
"I can't tell a white lie, you stole my line!" Esme smiled.
"Oh, well, Esme. Seems like you can't sleep during in this game!"
"Isn't that the point?"
"Wow, all of you are dazzling me with your wit!"
"You're all heart, Esme."
Author's note: Hiya! Been awhile, huh? I must admit, I was afraid to put this up. It doesn't quite fit with what I have planned with the story. But, it was so much fun to write and got me giggling, I just had to put it somewhere. See if you can spot the puns! Some I was a little sneaky about ^_~
