I could smell something oddly salty that I never had before through the brown bag that Jacob held up. I touched his check and transferred thoughts of curiosity. He chuckled and flashed a smile, "You'll see!"

Jacob picked me up, his hold was the only one that was warm and I liked how it felt. I giggled a little bit as he swung me around flying me in the air and making funny sounds. Jacob always made me laugh. I loved having him around. He set me down on the living room floor using his leg to prop up my back as he lay down beside me. He placed the bag in front of me. "I thought you might like it. Go on, open it!"

I began to feel excited as I opened the bag. I looked at the yellow container with a blue lid and the matching container but with bright green with confusion. "Play – Doh sculpting clay?" I read. I studied the pictures and saw figured that claimed to be built from this Play – Doh.

"Yeah, do you wanna play with it?" Jacob asked. I thought I heard a bit of nerves in his voice. I nodded.

He popped open the containers and two brightly colored cylinders that matched the lids slide out. The smell of salt filled the room as Jacob twisted the clay in his hands has he handed it to me. I took the green into my own hand and held his hand for a moment longer to show him that intended for him to have the blue blob.

The clay was cool in my hands. I squeezed it; the sound of escaping air filled my ears as the Play – Doh seeped in between my fingers. The clay was extremely soft and squishy. I laughed with joy at the newly discovered clay.

I quickly worked with it kneading the clay to shape into the picture in my head. I felt myself thinking only of the scene in my head and how to best convey it. The world around me melted away and I focused on the blue clay. The smell was gone and replaced with the drive to express myself through the clay.

After a few moments, I stop. The scene of blue clay was almost perfect; I added a little bit of detail and relaxed. The image in my head was complete; I looked up at Jacob and gave him a huge smile in thanks for the Play – Doh.

His face looked shocked as he took in my sculpture. I began to worry that he did not like my creation; but, he began to stammer something unintelligible. I listened trying to make out his words; "Nessie, Nessie, that is the most wonderful thing I have ever seen... it is simply amazing, gorgeous, excellent… wow."

I laughed at his funny sounding words and the way he kept talking even after I started laughing. I touched my hand to his arm so that he would know that I wanted him to keep it. "Thank you, Nessie; it's brilliant."

He moved the sculpture closer to his body and looked at it like he was admiring the detail. His eyes peered into the earlier scene of him holding me in the air and flying me around like a plane. His smile mirrored the one I had created and I laughed again.
