Mr. Cat peered over the bush. Quack Quack appeared to be sitting on the ground all alone, using his laptop. Perfect, he thought to himself, as he tiptoed up to him carrying a giant mallet. He raised the mallet a few feet into the air and was just about to bring it crashing down on the bird's cranium when he noticed that the duck was crying. Mr. Cat may not have been the nicest person in Smileyland, but he did care about his friends, and seeing one of them cry worried him a lot. He put the mallet aside and walked around Quack Quack so he was in front of him, sat down on the ground and looked him in the eye. "Hey, what's the matter with you?" he demanded to know in a standoffish tone that masked his concern. "Quack," said Quack Quack, showing him the laptop so he could see the screen. "That's it? That's really the reason you're crying?" he asked, incredulous. "You're crying because someone on the internet said you were his least favorite character on the show?" "Quack!"

Mr. Cat facepalmed and pinched the area where the bridge of his nose would be if he was human. "Le canard... has anyone ever told you you're a bit too sensitive?" "Quack." This one "quack" was actually a full sentence: "Kaeloo says it's good to be in touch with your emotions and that you shouldn't have to hide them." Mr. Cat glanced at him skeptically. " That kind of stuff works for her because she's a girl, or at least I think she is. But you, Duckface, are a guy. You're not supposed to be all... sappy like that. If you ask me, la grenouille has no idea what she's doing and you probably shouldn't listen to her at all." "Quack," said Quack Quack, reminding him that Kaeloo was like a parental figure to him and it was probably a good idea to listen to her advice. "Aw, come on. Look at me! I turned out just fine, even though I didn't have anyone to guide me when I was your age!" said Mr. Cat, as though there was nothing wrong with him. "Quack," said Quack Quack, sympathetically putting a hand on his friend's shoulder. This meant "That's sad. If you want to talk about it, I'm there for you." "You see, this is exactly the problem! You're being all emotional about little things in life that don't matter." Mr. Cat pushed Quack Quack's hand off of his shoulder. "Tell you what, le canard. I'll help you become less sensitive and more manly. "Quack..." said the duck, expressing uncertainty. "Trust me on this, it'll help you in life. Come with me," said the cat, walking away and motioning for Quack Quack to follow him
