So i had a thought about what happens if Kono dies and what will happen to the team
So here it is hope you enjoy
(Also ignore the spelling mistakes for i am half asleep drinking LOTS of coffee trying to keep me awake at
7:30 at night)
( I kinda went to a party yesterday until 2am)
Anyway enjoy
"Kono it's too dangerous!" Yelled Steve as they were taking shelter from the crossfire they were in.
"Steve it's the only way! If i distract them and take them far away from here, the you can save the hostage, take these guys in and then come find me."
"Kono i won't let you do this."
"Well you've got 5 seconds. It's been fun boss." Kono said and started running out the door being followed by 7 men. Steve quickly went to kill the rest and release the hostage and then went looking for Kono. Then Steve heard a blood curling scream coming from the woods and a massive explosion. He screamed her name but nothing happened.
Steve jolted up in bed with sweat cover his face. He dreamed of her again. How she protected Hawaii, the team, him, and she died doing it. It was 2 weeks after the funeral and no one knows what exactly happened to Kono. CSI said there was a shoot out and one of the guys shot her and then lit a fire with some gasoline which burned her in the process. He can't believe that she was gone. How was he meant to tell her how he felt about her. How he watched her surf at the local beach every morning when he ran past the beach. But he can't, she's gone and it's his fault.
Steve finally got out of bed and got dressed for work and went downstairs and grabbed his keys and left for HQ.

When he got there, there was some girl with blonde hair sitting in his office. As he walked in she immediately got up and Steve just raised an eyebrow.
"Can i help you?" Asked Steve awkwardly.
"Um yes. I'm Lori west and the governor sent me her to be the new member of Hawaii's task force."
"Since when?"
"Um today, i went to see him and he told me to tell you that i'm the new member. Here's a letter explaining it." She handed him a letter and read it over and then exhaled. "Fine welcome to the team. We don't have an office free though."
"Oh what about the empty one across from yours."
"That's for a member that comes and goes cause the governor sends them on a mission over seas."

"Oh OK!" She said overly happy. She got up and left his office and went to go introduce herself to Chin and Danny. Steve sat down at his desk and looked at the picture of him and Kono at a bar after her 'graduation ceremony'. She looked so happy. Even after the day she had then, she still wore a smile. Steve was interrupted by a knock at his door and Chin walked in.
"Hey what's up?" Asked Steve.
"Not much. Just came to see how you were doing with everything."
"I'm good."
"Steve i know you liked her more than a co worker. But i think you should know that, she liked you too. Alot. She would come to me and tell me all about you and she would do anything to keep you safe from anything."
"But that should of been me. I should of protected her and now she's dead because of me."
"Steve, no one could of stopped her. We both know that once she sets her mind to something there's nothing we can do or stop her from doing it."
"Yeah your right. So who's the new girl."
"She's a newbie who doesn't know anything about law enforcement."
"Oh so we're working with a person who could get killed on spot."
"Yeah basically."
"Great." Then Danny walked in saying that they had a case.
