The wind blew across the field, long grass waving all around.
He stood alone, feeling numb. She was gone. Forever.
How could he live without her? She'd always been the biggest pain in his butt but despite that he'd always loved her in every way possible. Now she was gone and would never return. Everything felt so wrong without her.
Through teary eyes he looked up and saw clouds shaped like angel's wings. The sky was filled with them. It was as if she was still there with him, showing him she would always be with him, watching over him from another place. Far beyond. The place he would one day reach and they would finally be together.
You won't be forgotten, he said to himself. That's a promise I intend to keep.
