DISCLAIMER: I don't own Prince of Tennis.

A/N:

Why another story, you ask? Because I am so into philosophical stuff right now.

Anyways, this is a series of one-shots or multi-chapter stories in which I will not put into any particular order. Each chapter or story can stand alone. There is no timeline. The characters didn't even have to be PoT characters---I just decided to used PoT characters, that's all (because I love Oishi that much). And because the exploration of an average character is so fun.

Because, in truth, no one is average.

In the Beginning, There was Man

Oishi Syuichirou was not a prodigy.

Yet, that did not mean he did not have his own unique way of thinking.

After all, he was a good student who listened during class and took all necessary notes. In addition, he engaged in thought cooperatively when his instructors offered thought-provoking questions. With all that, he learned to analyze; he was educated.

Oishi Syuichirou was not a prodigy.

Yet, the least he got was an education, and once he received a certain amount of education, nothing seemed simple anymore.

Once he was trained to analyze, he would be analyzing everything for the rest of his life.

For fifteen-year-old Oishi Syuichirou, not a prodigy of any sort, just a boy evolving into a thinking man, there was a world beyond high school, and beyond tennis.
