Hey,
Another story. Dear god what is wrong with me. Times when I really have to work, I get inspired. Again, just wrote this one and have not really edited. Again wanted to do something kinda different. This is mostly dialogue. I leave a lot up to the reader to decide. Please review.
--I hate places like this.
--I know.
--Why did I agree to this?
--Cause you promised.
--Can't we go?
--They'll get suspicious.
--Fine. Will he make me dance?
--Maybe…most likely.
--Everyone knows I hate to dance.
--That's what you say. I seem to remember you loving it a couple nights ago.
--Well that was different.
--Would you ever do that for him?
--Only to keep him from suspecting. But we haven't really done anything remotely close to that.
--Really? Now why is that?
--Don't act so cocky. It's ver-
"Raven do you want to dance?" Gar offered Raven his hand.
She shot a glance over at Robin. He raised an eyebrow at her and shrugged.
--I knew he would ask you.
"Sure." She gave a smile to the changeling.
--Asshole.
--You wound me.
--You know sometimes I wish our bond wasn't so strong.
--You lie.
Robin watched, a smile playing at his lips. Raven wore a lovely indigo dress, on the insistence of Kori. It clung to her curves, and flared out around the middle of her thigh. It covered the rest of what he considered to be very gorgeous legs, unless she twirled very quickly.
--Stop staring.
--Sorry, can't help it.
"Kori," Robin smiled deviously. "Let's join them." He took the alien into his arms, keeping the sorceress in his sight. "You look lovely tonight." He whispered in her ear. And it was true, she did.
"At these balls, do they always play such slow music?" Kori asked, her eyes bright with curiosity.
"Usually." He kissed her forehead. In just a couple of years Robin towered over the girl, after being a foot shorter than her for what seemed like forever.
His eyes flitted over to Raven. She turned gracefully with her date. Her eyes closed, and he could see her lips moving to the lyrics of the song the band played without a singer. "Sweetheart, I ask no more than this…" He wished desperately to hear her sweet voice singing softly to him. Rarely did he ever wish to be in Gar's place. This was one of those times.
Gar caught Robin's eyes on them. Quickly Robin gave him a smile that read: good job on getting Raven to do something unusual. Gar gave a slight nod. He brushed aside a lock of her violet hair, and placed a kiss on her.
--Oh!
--He's your boyfriend get used to him doing sappy shit like that.
--Someone's jealous
Raven smiled up at Gar. "That was unexpected."
"You've known me for how many years?" He asked. "Still not used to me surprising you."
"You just might want to consider that a good thing."
--Cute.
--Shut up. You might want to pay some attention to your girlfriend. After all we're here to keep up appearances.
So, yeah did a story about them having an affair. I know a lot of people will not like that. Anyway, please review.
