Dancing Rain
Hey this is a one shot for one of the K I S S I N G I N T H E R A I N challenges. The two main Characters are Fred Weasley and Luna Lovegood. Hope you enjoy. If you loved review. If you liked Review. If you disliked review. If you hated REVIEW! I do not own but JK Rowling does.
Fred stared the small window in his bedroom at the burrow. He watched the blonde girl dance on the hill side. She wore a yellow sundress with a yellow flower on her wavy curls. The girl wore nothing on her feet and her toe nails were painted yellow.
"Staring at Lovegood again?" George asked. "You know I think you should just go out and kiss her."
Fred jumped at the sound of his twin's voice. Sighing Fred turned around and looked at George. George wore a goofy smile.
"I can't do that. For one I am three years older than her." Fred explained. "And two that would make me look like a creep."
"Don't want to hear it." George exclaimed "All I want is for you to kiss her so I can have my twin back."
"But there are thunder clouds in the sky." Fred tried to reason. "It's going to rain!"
"All the better." George smiled, pushing Fred towards the door and down the stairs.
Fred mumbled something but it wasn't loud enough for anyone to hear. Fred walked outside and took a deep breath. He started to make his way to Luna. She caught sight of him when he was half way there and she smiled.
"Fred!" She greeted. "Have you come to dance?"
"Something like that." He told her. "You know it is about to rain."
"Is it?" She asked. "How can you tell?"
"Well the skies are covered in dark clouds, and the scent of rain is in the sky." Fred explains as a rain drops start to fall. "And there are rain drops falling"
Luna laughs and starts to dance again. She takes Fred hand forcing him to dance along with her. As they danced the rain started to fall harder and harder. Soon they were soaking wet and there wasn't a dry spot on them. Luna shivered and Fred pulled her in to a hug.
"Cold?" he asked.
"Just a bit. It must be a chuva lírio." She says. "They live in rain clouds and when it rains they fall onto people and dig in your skin making one cold."
Fred laughs at Luna's attempt to explain why people get cold after getting rained on. As he laughs, lightning flashes through the sky and Luna screams. Fred looks down at her confused.
"I don't like lightning very much." She explains.
"You don't have to be afraid of it." Fred tells her.
She smile and Fred lowers his lips onto hers. Her eyes widen in surprise but soften almost immediately after. A wave of warmth went through her even though it was still raining and the chuva lírio were still digging into her. She felt Fred's arms slide around her back pulling her in closer.
Luna jumps apart when she hears the first clap of thunder and Fred laughs. He pulls her in closer and hugs her. Luna hugs him back and is comforted. She relaxes in his arm and they stay there, warm in each other's embrace.
Not very long D: but I am not in a very creative mood at the moment and I am also fairly new at fluffy stuff so bear with me!
