Hopefully this one will have chapters!
My hand shook, as I held the small vile of vampire juice to my mouth. I almost stopped myself. Almost.
I couldn't…I had wanted to become a vampire since I met my boyfriend, Jay. He was a vampire too.
Jay was very tall, with long black hair that came down to just below his shoulders. His eyes were a bright green.
"We'll be together forever, Alice." He had promised me. "Forever. You will never grow old, and never die. We can do anything we want. You can fly, you'll be so strong, and we will have so much fun."
All in exchange for having to kill and feed off of humans.
I drank the vampire juice quickly. It tasted like sugar and salt mixed together.
All at once, I could feel the change…the feel of being…powerful. I grinned, taking it in.
But of course, I was only a half-vampire.
"You're immortal." Jay grinned. "But you're not full yet, not a full vampire. That will come later…for now, follow me."
He took me by the ocean, to a secret cave where the rest of Jay's vampire brothers were.
I was going to love this life.
But something nagged at the back of my mind…
I remember when I was young, about thirteen. I was friends with these two boys. Eddie and Alan I think were their names. I remember…they were set on becoming expert vampire hunters. I often laughed at them, at how seriously they took it.
Vampires didn't exist then, not to me anyway.
Now they did.
Would they still remember me…?
I prayed to whatever god there was that they wouldn't.
Edgar Frog woke up with a groan. He had a major headache and a huge scab on the side of his head. Gritting his teeth, he walked to the bathroom. His eyes were bloodshot.
Dang, you'd think he'd been at the bar all night.
Alan had been sick with the flu for a week, leaving Edgar to cut down on the hunting. He had finally managed to get out one night, and was badly hurt. Alan had been feeling better last night, but Edgar wouldn't let him out of the house.
Scowling at his reflection, he trudged downstairs. Alan was already awake, reading the newspaper.
Alan took one look at him, and laughed.
"Where've you been? The bar?"
Edgar glared at him.
"Kidding, kidding…Yeah, I know. Dude, I'm so sorry. This flu's been killing me. I'm better now, I am. Look at this". Alan handed him the newspaper.
Edgar sat down, yawning.
"Dude, look at this. Four murders last night, all with their throats slashed. Vampire activity bro. Must be some newbies at that old hideout down by the beach."
Edgar nodded, staring at the paper. "Yeah. We gonna check it out?" he grinned. Alan laughed. "Yeah! You've been hogging all the glory lately bro. Now it's my turn."
Chapters will be coming!
