It's Just Static
Everyday, after kindergarten, Bubbles would always head to the living room, turn on the TV and watch her favorite show 'The Adventures Of Captain Willy', which was in black and white.
Blossom and Buttercup had never got the hype around that show, but for some reason Bubbles loved it and couldn't live without watching a new episode everyday, after arriving from kindergarten.
She would always turn on channel 66 and see the adventures of the silly captain Willy, who wasn't that good of a captain, and his friends. She would always tell the Professor how good and educational the show was... but that wasn't what her sisters would tell.
Blossom and Buttercup actually found it a little creepy. The main reason was because all of the characters were phantoms, puppets, marionettes. Captain Willy looked like a melted doll, his friends were bizarre too. One of them had a skull face with a big mustache and was dressed with a coat that looked like it was made out of skin. Another character had a darkish tone of skin and had two little horns and a large chin.
Bubbles used to say it was an educational show, right? Yeah. The captain usually failed in his missions so he would tell the viewers to always try again, after this he would throw himself to the sea and then suddenly another him would appear out of nowhere and continue his life like nothing. It was like he had unlimited lives.
The other kids from Pokey Oaks kindergarten didn't see this show. They said they wouldn't find it...
One day the Professor sat on the couch while Bubbles was laying on the ground staring at the TV.
"Sweetie, what are you doing?" he asked.
"Oh, I'm just watching The Adventures Of Captain Willy!" she responded happily.
"But, sweetie" he paused "there's just static." he said softly as he continued watching the TV in static, while Bubbles was laughing at it.
"Bubbles, what's that channel's number again?" Professor asked.
"Channel 66, Professor." she responded.
Professor paused for a moment. There was no channel 66.
