A World for You

I panic—running so fast as if life depends on it, willing the feet to go faster as if there is still more strength left to use, rushing to the place where I will finally reach you—a place so near but still feels like light-years away. Tiny snow flakes falling from the sky, glistening like diamonds against the waning sun, the crystalline song of the pianoforte from a distance…

My heart beat is a tempest as I perceive all of this. I am not happy. I do not even love you. This is something bigger, greater, and much more powerful. To call it happiness or love will only make my heart break open. What I have is a world—a complete dimension with skies, earth, and seas—something that the heart is too tiny to contain, and I am willing to give it all to you, as how you have given me yours without restraint a long time ago.

Take it. Let's hold it close together. Let's own it like two gods in love.

Your hands, my hands. Your breath, my breath. They match like how right matches with left. But in our world, we will no longer have a need for that. It won't matter if our voices blend into one or sprinkle into sharps and flats, if we land on both feet or fall on our knees. We will no longer have to make any promises, for every day will already be a promise of more tomorrows to come. There will be no nothings, for everything we do will become puzzle pieces of an enormous everything. We will breathe the same air, drink the same water, walk on the same ground, live the same life.

Take it and I will never want it back.

I don't know what it is about Yuri on Ice, but every time I listen to it, my heartbeat just goes haywire coupled with an inexplicable longing to run. Not from anything, not towards something, but running for the run. And this scene keeps on playing in my head in time with the music each playback more vivid than the last along with a strong conviction that IT HAD TO BE LIKE THIS. I couldn't understand why but I could almost see it happening in front of me. It was weird and frightening so I decided to just write it down.

If you read everything, thank you. And sorry if this post seems nonsensical to you. I just wrote it to silence my thoughts after all. Haha
