Caleb raged silently in a dark corner at the back of Nicky's Bar, watching from a far, desperately trying to control the anger that swelled inside of him. His hands shook, curling into tight fists at his sides. Smacking his balled fists against his thighs, and again against the wall behind him; another attempt at controlling his anger. All he ever did was try to protect his friends, and his sister, but Ariel constantly insisted on rebelling against him, and any other authority figure that tried to stand in her way. Ariel was a free spirit that refused to be held back. Reid, Reid was his best friend, and a good guy, but not good enough for his sister. No one was good enough for Ariel, not even Reid, so seeing the two of them at Nicky's together, huddled up in a corner table near the juke box barely able to keep their hands off each other had him seething with anger. They weren't even trying to hide it. It was like they wanted to be seen.
Ariel's infectious laughter resonated through the establishment, Reid leaned in close, whispering into her ear, his fingers stroking the curve of her jaw before trailing down her neck. A growl rumbled deep in Caleb's chest as he emerged from the shadows, stalking over to the table where the two love birds sat. Without explanation, or a second thought, Caleb gripped Ariel's arm yanking her up from her chair. She winced, struggling against his strong grip. Reid immediately leapt up from his seat, shoving Caleb away, his grip on his sister's arm loosening enough for her to slip free. "Take it outside, boys!" Nicky yelled from behind the bar pointing Caleb and Reid to the back door. Caleb spun around, practically stomping out the back door. Grabbing Reid by the shirt the second he stepped over the threshold, shoving him against the brick wall, his fist slamming into the brick inches from Reid's head. Ariel ran out after them, her heart hammering in her chest. Shoving her arm protectively against Reid's chest, stepping closer, attempting to wedge herself between the two friends.
