pick a character/pairing

turn on your music player, put it on random/shuffle

write a short fic/drabble that relates to each song that plays. You only have the time frame of the song to finish the fic/drabble, you start when the song starts and stop when it's over, no lingering afterward.

Hold Me - Savage Garden

He closed his eyes. A breath left his lips. His whole body was hurting.

"Hold me," his voice small and barely there, "please."

He was breaking down faster and faster.

He watched how Felicity took a step closer to him, her hand was on his, fingers gripping around his hand, and he let out a breath, his eyes slowly opening. His eyes locked with hers, and for a second his body felt lighter. "Just tell me that it will be alright," he whispered, his head resting against her shoulder.

"Oliver..." Felicity whispered, his name leaving her lips in a way it hadn't in a long time.

"I'm not…"

"Don't," she said stopping him, "you asked me to tell you tell you that you were going to be alright. So this is me telling you that you will be alright," she said, one arm wrapped around him, holding him close, waiting for his breath to even out.

Give Me Time - Dusty Springfield

"I need time," Felicity voice rang through the foundry, "if you give me time," she looked at Oliver.

"You've had time."

"I'm the one that decides on how much time I need," she took a couple steps closer. "And if you give me the time I need and ask for," her eyes locking with Oliver's, "I will be ready to love you again," her hand wrapping around his, "the way you love me."

Life Is A Highway - Rascal Flatts

The wind was blowing in her hair as they was driving down the coast. She turned to Oliver, smiling, dancing a little in her seat as she was humming along to the song.

"Come on, Oliver," she said a big smile on her lips, "sing with me."

"Felicity," he said, smiling at her, "I'm not going to sing with you, but I'm happy that you're happy, because I'm happy too."

"Just sing, you will feel even better," she tried, "happier, easier, relaxed, and you're supposed to sing along to this one, and blast this song when you're on a road trip."

Felicity's smile grew when she heard Oliver starting to sing along to the song, even if it wasn't a lot, it was still something. She leaned over, kissing his cheek. "See I knew you'd get it."

Anyone - Roxette

He was standing to the side, watching her move with easy. Spinning around. A hand resting on the small of her back.

He was too late.

"You should tell her."

Oliver looked up shaking his head, "Thea…" his voice soft, "she's happy, that's all I want for her."

"She might look happy, but she's missing you as much," Thea said giving him a look.

"Thea, not you too," he said, he stuffed his hands in his pockets giving her a small smile, "it's over, and it has been for a long time."

"You're just giving up, and you're not supposed to give up, you're supposed to fight, fight for what you want."

Oliver couldn't help but to chuckle, as he realized what Thea was saying, "you sound like her, how much time have you spent with her?"

"Enough to know that Felicity feels the same as you do," she replied, "just like anyone that sees the two of you together."

More of these will come at some point. This is just a way for me to get back into writing.
