Return from Italy
This is based on the day after Bella, Edward and Alice return to Italy and go back to school from Angela's pov.
It was Monday morning and I was outside the front office at school waiting for Jessica, Eric, Mike, Tyler, Lauren or someone to arrive. I was the first one there. Finally there was Jessica. I wonder what kept her behind. I ran up to her, wanting to know as soon as possible what was wrong but it was just gossip.
"Hey Angela, did you hear that Bella went to LA to beg Edward to take her back" Jessica told me sniggering.
"I really doubt that" I replied frowning.
"Yeah well that's what I heard from Lauren wait is that what I think it is?" Jessica said suddenly. Parking right next to us was a silver Volvo. No it can't be THAT Volvo but it was because Edward Cullen stepped out of the car. He walked over to the other side of the car and opened the door. Out stepped Bella. She actually looked happy, nervous but happy. Edward took her hand and they walked into the front office.
"He actually took her back" Jessica breathed astounded.
"Guess so" I said shrugging.
"Edward Cullen comes back and takes Bella out of the state she was in and all you can say is 'guess so'" Jessica asked me in disbelief.
"Well it's not really our business" I told her shrugging again.
"Everyone's business is my business" Jessica snapped. Wow Jessica was in a bad mood considering she had just gotten the biggest piece of gossip for the year to spread around.
The rest of the day went by uneventful until lunch. Everyone stared at our table when Edward and Bella came to sit at it. Bella was very quiet but Edward was willing to answer everyone's questions. Jessica asked the question I had wanted to ask but considered it rude to.
"What made you come back" Jessica asked moving in closer.
"Well I literally did nothing while I was gone and when I heard that Bella was dead I knew I couldn't stand the world without her living in it so I made a plan to commit suicide to join her" Edward explained. Woh I never imagined it to be that serious or romantic. I guess there are surprises every day. All around me there were faces of shock, glee at the gossip, disappointment or in my case happiness. Bella would be like she used to be and her life would be full again. I wonder what will happen to her quilitine friend. They seemed pretty close and now that Edwards back... My rambling was interrupted by Jessica's next question.
"What's so special about her?" Jessica asked Edward. Now that was low. I can't believe Jessica would ask that question when Bella is her friend and in the conversation. Jessica doesn't seem to be the person I always thought she was.
"Everything, her goodness, her selflessness, her generosity, much more than you possess" Edward told her angrily.
"She was just asking" Lauren sneered.
"I still don't see the need" Edward said coldly.
"Come on lets sit at another table today" Bella suggested to Edward and Alice.
"Let's go with them" I whispered to Ben
"Sure" He replied softly. We then followed them to a table on the far side of the cafeteria.
"Thanks Ange" Bella thanked me gratefully.
"It's not your fault Jessica is being such a bitch today" I told her.
"Wow, I have never heard you swear before" Ben told me surprised.
"You would be surprised what I am capable of when I'm mad" I teased. From that day forward Jessica and I were never close, we were friendly but not close but I didn't regret my actions from the day I defended my friend on her return from her trip and the leave of her depression.
