Hey everyone. This story was written for both the Back to School September Event and the Fortnightly Challenges Thread's Feline Flair on Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. I wrote for prompt 10. (object) Head Boy Badge. I hope you all enjoy Head Boy.
Shinning his brand new Head Boy badge Percy sat importantly at the table waiting for one of his family members to notice the new addition to his attire. They must have noticed that it was there by now. He'd made a point of showing it off in a place of prominence after all. Front and center where everyone of them could see how important he was.
"Trying to rub a hole through that thing?" asked Fred jokingly. "Huh, Perce?"
He would play dumb with this so that at least someone would have to acknowledge his importance. He looked from the badge in his hands to his twin brother's who were looking at him as though he were strange.
"What this?" he asked holding up the badge so that they could see the words Head Boy written on the badge.
"Yeah," came Fred.
"That," finished George.
"Just making sure it's nice and shiny for when I get to Hogwarts," he told them. "After all I am Head Boy."
I hope you all enjoyed Head Boy. I can totally see a conversation like this happening at the Weasley breakfast table after Percy gets his Head Boy badge in Prisoner of Azkaban.
