Never

Disclaimer: Charizard isn't mine. Ash isn't mine. Pokémon isn't mine. Honestly, if it was, I wouldn't be writing this, would I? Naw, I'd be off somewhere in the tropics, getting a tan. Okay? Okay.

Never

Why can't you ever leave me alone, human?

I am Charizard, mightiest beast on the planet – and you want to tame me?

You'll never do it. Much as you try, I'll never obey you, a stupid little baby human.

Hmph. Humans. All of them stupid and weak. Not one compares to me, not one! Even other Pokémon, that revolting Pikachu that always follows the baby-human around and does what it tells it to do, are nothing compared to me!

I dare the others to fight my fire, and always they lose against my power! (don't they?)

Never will I lose to any dumb trained Pokémon! (right?)

They trust humans they are stupid that way. Humans can never be trusted.

I know. (I don't remember but I know)

I was I always with this human? Yes, I must have been. Otherwise, it would have had to capture me – and of course that's impossible. I was with this human always, and never it deserved me!

I was always with this human, and I was abused by it. I wanted to fight, to grow stronger so I could evolve and fight battles my own way (didn't I?) without having to listen to the human, but it didn't want me to fight. Oh no, I always lost, so I was worthless and didn't belong with it.

Humans. All the same.

Cruel creatures, they are. It hated me, left me on a rock to die and then what? Took me back? Yes, took me back because I was so strong and it lost its valuble treasure-paper because I was not there.

You can't tame me, human, can't train me. You can't tame fire, you can't train me. You don't even know anything, I know, you let valuble other Pokémon go, stupid Pokémon that obey you. Hmph. And never me.

I'd welcome release gladly. It would be better than this life, this life as energy in a red and white ball that occasionally gets released to battle some stupid battle. I don't want to battle all the time that I'm out, I want to rest and relax.

Although showing the human what I could do if I get mad is somewhat entertaining

The human could die, for all I care. It left me to die, it can die itself. Not yet, though. I don't know why, but something holds me back

Human, human, leave me alone. Stop trying to get me to obey you, for I am a Charizard and we don't listen to humans.

We listen to ourselves and nothing else.

=======

"Charizard, listen to me, just this once" the human begged. The Charizard flicked its tail, irritated. He had no reason to obey.

"Please, Charizard, please!"

The Charizard found himself studying the human. Had it looked different before? Different coloured fur on its head, maybe?
No. Always the same.

Charizard snorted smoke and scratched himself, ignoring the pleading human.

(but maybe it was a different one that was cruel to you) some part of him said. Another part of him gave an annoyed reply.

No.

If you're confused, Charizard has Damien and Ash mixed together in its head. It doesn't remember which is which. Just my little explanation of why Charizard doesn't listen to Ash. ^_^
