Dean licked at the blood oozing from the split in his bottom lip. Malice flashed in his eyes, turning them brittle and icy. "That all you got?" he taunted, his voice deep and hard. He took a step forward, watching with delight when his quarry stumbled back a step, then two before spinning and running away.
Turning, he reached for Sam who was just pushing to his knees. Dean helped him the rest of the way up.
"Big brother to the rescue," muttered Sam with a half grin.
"You know it, Sammy. That's what big brothers are for."
