Like the description says, this is a one-shot that's been rattling away in the old noggin for a while I just needed the time to write it down! Hope you enjoy!

Disclaimer: I don't own Twilight. Wish I did, but such is life!

As the lunch period ended, I contemplated on whether or not to just ditch like I did last week, faking an illness.

I have Biology II after lunch, the one class period I dreaded the most.

It wasn't because I didn't like the course. I loved biology, I passed Biology I with flying colors. And it wasn't because I didn't get along with my fellow classmates. I was well liked among the student body here at Forks High.

None of these were the reasons for my anxiety. It was because I had to sit beside him.

Him, the reason I got up every morning and came to school. He sat right beside me in that one class, and paid me no attention, like I wasn't even there. It was dreadfully antagonizing.

I had been in love with him for a while, just ogling from a distance. But I was overjoyed when I found out that we were going to be in the same class, but know…

He didn't even notice me, occasionally when I would buck up enough courage, I would greet him and ask how his day was going. To which he would always reply with a kind, but uninterested, tone that it was well.

But as the final bell rang, I rushed off to class. Dad would blow a gasket if he got another call from the school…

I hesitated before I turned the corner. Where was he? He usually comes this way. I searched up and down the hallway before locking eyes on him. Then I gasped in horror.

He was talking to the new girl. She was the daughter of the Police Chief's flighty ex-wife.

I couldn't believe this! First he tries to go after what's-her-face last week and now he's trying to get the new girl. He makes me so angry sometimes!

Then I smiled to myself. There was only one seat left in our Biology class, the one directly beside Edward Cullen. He and his family made up the social outcasts of the school. They always kept to themselves, never trying to get involved or interfere with the goings and comings of our daily lives. They were certainly strange creatures.

I laughed, she won't last a minute sitting beside him. She'll be crying for her mommy by the end of the hour! Then I would have Mike all to myself!

I took my seat beside Mike and confidently asked how his day had been. He gave me the same response, but in a distracted tone. I followed his gaze over to Cullen's table, and smiled.

The new girl had an uncomfortable look on her face and Edward was giving her the death glare. That wiped the smile off my face.

I had never seen him act that hostile to another person. It scared me a little. I'm so glad I'm not that new girl. But to be honest, I kinda felt bad for what I had said about her. I felt bad, but not enough to say I'm sorry.

I don't remember anything the teacher said that lecture. I was just as distracted as Mike, Edward Cullen, and the new girl were. All of us jumped when the bell tolled the hour.

I quickly gathered my things so that I could occupy Mike's attention, but when I looked up again, he was already over there talking to the new girl and Edward Cullen was no where to be seen. Weird, it was like he disappeared,

Oh well, I thought as I watched Mike escort New Girl to her next class, maybe I'll have better luck tomorrow!

If you guys like this, then let me know! I'll add more chapters if I get enough response from the fans! I'm thinking about the finally for The Wicked and The Fangless. I'm just trying to figure out how to work the ending! So don't worry! I'll finish it soon!

Catch you guys later!
