We survived.
I know, but I was thinking- why don't we let them get used to the idea of us- together- first? Give it some time to sink in? Before we go talk to them, y'know?
No. What are you talking about?
I mean- Magnus, are they still looking at us?
Magnus glanced up to see Maryse and Robert watching the exchange curiously, then turned back to nod at Alec, clearly confused.
Alec took a breath. Ok, then. Like this. And Alec reached to bury one hand in spiked hair, hooked the other arm over Magnus' neck, and pulled Magnus' shocked face to his own.
When they broke apart, Alec's face was flushed, and he laughed shakily. There was a shine of triumph in his eyes as he looked up at Magnus.
Magnus looked to Alec's parents; they, along with half the Hall, were staring openly.
Sink in, indeed.
