Ode To Sergeant Mendoza

For James Victor, (Sergeant Mendoza) who recently passed away. 100 word drabble.
Jaime Mendoza,
of humble birth,
of kind and generous heart,
of loyalty and bravery.
A teller of tall tales,
and a lover of fine food.
A believer of Saint Nicholas,
and that dreams can come true.
Caught between duty,
and what was right,
he chose the third path,
to compassion and understanding.
A believer of good in all people,
even those who did him wrong.
A happy smile, a joke or two,
would bring joy to those he knew him best.
We shall miss our beloved Sergeant,
Jaime Mendoza, of the Colonial Militia.
Rest in peace, amigo, you deserve it.

I hope you like this dedication to Sergeant Mendoza, aka James Victor. This came to me, tonight, as I was watching the series from the beginning and it just seemed appropriate.
