This is for the Karry verse anniversary challenge, this happens the day after
the events in Chapter 23: Superdog.
Kara emotions were once again all over the place as she and Krypto landed
down a block from Star Labs; "I want you to meet someone very important to
me," she told the puppy as she changed them into their civilian identities.
Krypto titled his head as she put on his leash, 'I wonder who the Alpha
wants me to meet? Hopefully, whoever it is will have a treat for me!' he thought,
then his eyes became dreamy as he thought back to last night and the sausage
link that the Alpha's young kin sneaked to him when the Alpha and the Beta
weren't looking.
As they entered into Star Labs, Dr. Caitlin Snow looked up from her latest lab
results on her only patient and exclaimed, "Kara, hi! And who is this little cutie?"
"This is my new dog, Krypto," she replied as she him picked up and
introduced him to her friend, as Krypto licked her face in greeting; Caitlin laughed
with delight and then suddenly, her face became very thoughtful.
"You know," she mused, "They have been doing studies at Gotham City
University on the effects of pet therapy with coma patients."
"Really?" asked Kara as she looked at the puppy in her arms hopefully, "Do you
think?"
Caitlin shrugged her shoulders as she answered her and gestured to the
room next to her, "Its worth a shot."
Kara slowly made her way to her comatose boyfriend, "Barry," she said, "I
have someone I want you to meet." She gently placed Krypto on the bed, "This is
Krypto, he comes from my originally hometown; Krypto this is Barry Allen, my
boyfriend."
Krypto looked between his mistresses and her boyfriend, 'Why isn't he
awake? Maybe he needs a good licking to wake up!' So he gently walked on the
edge of the bed and proceeded to thoroughly lick Barry Allen's face.
Caitlin and Kara laughed out loud in delight at the scene before them; and
for a moment Kara thought she could feel a flash of emotions from Barry. Krypto
stopped giving him a face bath and looked at Kara in despair; he whined out loud
as he thought 'I failed! He won't wake up!'
"Awww," comforted Caitlin as she rubbed his head affectionately, "It's all
right Krypto, its just going to take time for him to wake up." She turned her
attention to Kara, "Bring him with you whenever you come, he may be able to
eventually bring Barry out of his coma...then again...he may not, its worth the
chance though!"
"Yes," agreed Kara as she picked up the puppy and comforted him, "Its
definitely worth the chance, Barry is always worth any type of chance!"
2 years later...
"YUCK!" screamed out Barry as he scrambled out of bed, "Krypto! Why
do you do this to me in every single morning?!"
Kara laughed out loud in joy in the next room as she nursed Nora, while her
sister was impatiently waiting her turn, "Your Daddy is worth any type of chance I
I give him," she told her daughters as she giggled, "And I hope you two find
someone as worthy as your Daddy!"
Author's Note: I know this is short, and its not as well written as I would like; but real life
keeps me busy and I really have no time to write anymore. But, I wanted to do something for
Karry anniversary, so here it is! Happy Karryversery!
