(Now here's the usual; I don't own Dragon Age so all credits goes to the makers. Always wanted to add my type of idea of their epilogue after Inquisition, so this is a short story so I hope you like it.)

[9:41 Dragon]

It has been a two years since the Hero of Ferelden left his home to travel to the west of Orlais. He was living in Ferelden with his love Morrigan and his son Kieran when they return to his life in 9:36 Dragon and spent the rest of his life with them in Gwaren, since he now rules over it. But over the few years that are getting close to the Mage-Templar War, Commander Haleir had to take his leave with Morrigan and had other pressing matters to attend to with the Grey Wardens. He ends up taking his leave and travels to Orlais, but not alone. Haleir reunites with the Grey Wardens who have been by his side for a long time, he reunites with them and asks for all Grey Wardens from Ferelden to join him on this long quest to the west to combat the Calling. Once he had everything, Haleir took his leave from Morrigan and Kieran and promises to return to them once it is over.

For two years, Haleir and all of his Grey Warden friends and also a few companions, joined with him on this long quest to combat the Blight. He found what he was looking for, since he got help from Morrigan who offers him a gift before she departs with his child through the Eluvian Gate. Then Avernus from Soldier's Peak gave him the rest of the information he needs to help with the Taint before he died, but he did finish his experiment and gave the rest to the Grey Wardens. Haleir uses these notes, he reads every word of it to get it all in his head and prepare to travel to the west with all of his friends by his side.

After the war between the Inquisition and Corypheus, the Inquisition disbands and everything returns to the way it was meant to be. When it was finally over, Morrigan took her leave from the Inquisition with her son Kieran by her side, planning to return to her Warden and to warn him of what is to come next. Since Kieran no longer has the Old God's soul inside of him anymore, he is now free as a normal mage, but now that Flemeth has the Old God's power, it is unknown on what she will do with it.

Today, Haleir rides out on a horse with the rest of the companions by his side, but at halfway, Alistair takes his leave with a few Grey Wardens like Bethany, Anders and Nathaniel by traveling to the north to Weisshaupt to see what is going on out there. The rest of the companions like Oghren, Sigrun, Ariane, Velanna and Finn stays by Haleir's side when they travel through the lands of Orlais and reaching to Ferelden.

During the ride with the Grey Wardens and the two normal fighters, they soon come into path with Morrigan and Kieran who are together on a horse, looking for Haleir. He still wore the ring that Morrigan gave him after all these years, thanks to that, she knew exactly where he was and knew where to meet up with him. When Haleir saw a rider in the distance, he stops and is shock to see it was Morrigan who has come for him.

"That woman… She looks familiar." Finn said when gazing towards Morrigan. He rides closer, but Ariane moves her right hand in front of Finn to make him stop.

Ariane looks to Haleir "We'll give you two alone." She looks back to the others "We should go on ahead."

Haleir looks back to Ariane "Thank you."

The group left the scene to give them privacy. Once they left, Haleir took off his helmet and shows his black long hair, faded black tattoo and a scar on the side of his face that was done by a Darkspawn. He got off his horse and so did Morrigan, but Kieran jumps off first to run straight to his father for a hug.

Haleir smiles with joy when seeing Kieran running up to him. "Father."

Haleir drops his helmet to the floor and crouches down while lending his hands out for a hug "Come here." He said to Kieran and grabs a hold of him when he embrace his father with a hug.

Morrigan comes off her horse and approaches the two. Halier says to Kieran "Let's get a good look at you." He moves back to get a look at his son. It has been two years since the last time he saw him. "Look at you. I trust you've been protecting Morrigan?"

"I have, father. How was your trip to the west?"

"It went well." Haleir moves his right arm on his son's shoulder "The Taint no longer is inside of me anymore. I'm no longer a Grey Warden anymore."

"So that means you can come back with us?"

"I wouldn't be here if I wasn't." Haleir looks to Morrigan and gets up off the ground "Hello Morrigan."

"Haleir…"

"Tell me something, what did the Inquisitor say to you that made you write me that message?"

"What makes you think it was she who made me write you a message?"

"There was only two things that came into my mind when I saw that message." Haleir said "The Inquisitor must have 'persuaded' you to ask for my help… Or…" He turns his head away for a bit, while showing a little smirk on his face, then looks back to Morrigan and says "Or you've gone soft and you really missed me."

Morrigan sighs with disgusts with that comment. She crosses her arms and looks away from Haleir "I should have known you would say that."

Haleir laughs a bit more when walking up to Morrigan for a hug. She gasps lightly when feeling his arms around her body and made her lower her arms when Haleir whispers to her "You don't have to say anything. I missed you too, Morrigan." He then kisses her cheek

Morrigan sighs deeply while closing her eyes and wraps her arms around him. She whispers to him "I missed you too?"

Haleir leans his head back to look at her face "What was that?"

"Nothing."

Kieran comes over to join in by hutting the both of them from the side. Both Haleir and Morrigan looks down at Kieran, both start to laugh a little at this then looks back to one another for a moment and made Halier kiss Morrigan.

The three reunite at last and could finally return to Ferelden together. The three ride back to join with the other's, but they took their time and would eventually regroup with them tomorrow morning. The three end up taking a break when it was getting dark, Haleir helps set up camp and gave Kieran his tent to rest, while he and Morrigan sits together in front of the fire to talk alone. Morrigan leans against the side of Halier and has his arm around her waist.

"So, Flemeth has the Old God's power… I guess it was going to happen."

"I had no choice." Morrigan said "She was going to take Kieran."

"Well you did the right thing though. You can't let Flemeth take Kieran from you and me."

'I know…"

"Just what exactly you planning on doing with the Old God's power anyway?"

Morrigan sighs a little when turning her head away from Halier "It doesn't matter anymore."

"So do you think Flemeth will come after you again?"

"She has plans for me. One thing did get me surprise is of what she said to me. She states that she cannot possess an unwilling host and that I was never truly in any danger."

"I guess maybe she didn't want to take you away. But at least she never took you or Kieran away from me." Haleir looks forward while sighing deeply "I should have been there."

"Tis stupid to talk about this. Flemeth is gone and there was nothing you could have done to do anything."

"I guess you're right." Haleir looks back to Morrigan and smiles "At least she didn't harm Kieran." He looks back towards the tent where Kieran rests

"Yes…" Morrigan looks back to the tent for the moment, then looks forward and says "Tis strange. I did not think to have ever consider raising a child like this."

"He has changed you, hasn't he?" Haleir looks back to Morrigan

"Indeed he has." Morrigan smiles a bit and looks to Haleir "But I guess you helped as well."

"I changed you too, after all."

"You have. I have never thought to find someone in this world I could trust as an equal."

Halier smiles to Morrigan and leans his head closer to kiss her, which she gladly allow him to do so. She closes her eyes and presses her lips against his, this time lasting longer than before. Eventually it would be Halier who will be the one to break this kiss when he leans his head back from her.

"Well… I think we have fond enough already, don't you agree?"

"I suppose so. You should probably use this time right now and get some rest." Halier looks to the empty tent nearby and back to Morrigan "But that tent does feel cold and lonely in there. And Kieran is fast asleep in his tent."

Morrigan chuckles and responds in a slow seductive tone to the Warden "Oh? Twas this all part of the plan, hmmm? Do you have something in mind to show me in my tent?"

"You just got to have to find out, my little witch."

Morrigan laughs "Yes that is me indeed. Come, my love. Let us not waste time on foolish talk." She gets up off the ground and takes his hand to help him up off the ground. She turns back and walks with him, still holding onto his hand back to her tent where she plans to embrace her warm body against his for the rest of the night.

When the sun rises, Kieran comes out of his tent and meets Halier at the campfire that is already burnt out. He has been there for a while now, keeping watch over the two until they finally wake up from their sleep. Once Morrigan wakes up, which she does a few minutes later, they finally remove the campsite and prepare to set out to Ferelden.

And so Haleir, Morrigan and Kieran lives happily ever after when they return to Ferelden and plans to stay in Ferelden for now on. They return to the city of Gwaren, since Haleir now rules over the whole region and also the whole region of the Korcari Wilds, since he gave the Dalish a new home. It is here that Kieran will grow up to be with his parents and to never again be force to leave with only one parent to watch him. It is also here that Kieran will master his abilities in magic and also to train in the art of the sword, in times when he has a chance to have a skirmish fight with his father in the city, or go out with his mother in the wilds to learn magic. In the end, Kieran will be happy here with his mother and father by his side.

When a time comes, Kieran will be next to rise up to face the incoming chaos that is happening in the far north of Thedas. Kieran must be next to become a great hero like his father and use the power he wields to help protect Thedas against the incoming invasion of the Qunari and the dangerous threat that is happening inside the Anderfels with the Grey Wardens.
