"Quibbler," I called out, walking through the train.

"Hey Luna," Harry greeted me.

I lifted my glasses and my vision returned to normal. "Hello Harry. Would you care for a Quibbler?"

"Sure," he said as I handed him one. "You want to join us?" He gestured to the cart where Ron, Hermione and Neville sat.

"Alright."

I set my stack of Quibblers on the floor at my feet as I sat next to Neville.

"Hello Luna," Hermione said.

"Hello," I said, giving her and Ron a warm smile. I looked at Neville. "Hi Neville."

"Hey." He smiled and then quickly looked out the window.

I took off my shoes and rubbed my red feet.

"What did you do to your feet," Neville asked, glancing back over.

"I burnt them before I came."

"How'd you do that," Ron asked.

"Daddy bought me some new shoes, so I was wearing them and they hurt my feet. I was taking a walk when I took them off and the pavement burnt my feet."

"You alright," Neville asked.

"Yes, I am. I just have to put ice on them after the banquet."

No one said anything for a while after that. The train chugged along, nearing Hogwarts. It was dark by the time we arrived to start our sixth year. We took the carriages pulled by Thestrals to the castle. I was looking forward to dessert, so I could have some pudding, like every year. The dinner was delicious too, though, just not as good as dessert.

I sat at the Griffyndor table in between Ginny and Neville. Dumbledore said his words, including announcing the new potions teacher, Professor Slughorn and then started the banquet. I filled my plate with all sorts of food.

After dessert, I sat in the Griffyndor common room while people did their usual; Talked about classes, talked about summer, and the Weasley twins, Fred and George, sold their Weasley products. The common room was emptying, leaving only Ginny, Neville and I. Neville was reading this year's Herbology text book, while Ginny painted her nails.

"Night guys,"Ginny said, heading up the stairs to the girls' dorm.

"Night," Neville and I said in unison.

"Aren't you tired of reading," I asked. "You've been for nearly two hours."

He shrugged. "A little bit." He closed the book and set it down.

My foot touched his new slightly as we sat down in the common room in silence. Neville cleared his throat.

"I, uh, think I'm going to bed."

"Sleep well," I said.

He touched my hand awkwardly in an attempt at a squeeze.

First we had Herbology in the morning. Neville smiled brightly as we entered the greenhouse. We were learning about a rare plant found in tropical climates today. Neville answered four questions correctly, Hermione two, and Seamus two.

"Now," said Professor Sprout. "The temperature has to be at least, what? Mr. Longbottom?"

"One hundred and three."

I got a fluttery feeling in my stomach as she Sprout called out, "Correct." Neville's gaze fell upon mine and I smiled. As another question came up, he looked away and my heart sank a bit.

Neville and I were really good friends, but I felt like I was starting to have real feelings for him. He was an incredibly smart boy, and not to mention funny. Although, I wasn't exactly the dating type, I really did like Neville.

Our next to classes flew by fast. We had free hour and I decided to look for Neville. I went to the common room and a few other places, not having any luck. Finally, I spotted him outside, sitting in the shade of a tree. I approached him, my hear racing.

"M-mind if I join you?"

"Sure," he said, patting the spot beside him.
