AN: Another somewhat pointless oneshot for the lonely soul. I don't know what is with these lately, but they just keep popping up.

The summer sun shone down on the estates garden and a warm, soft breeze caressed the Flowers bringing their fragrance of many hues to the nose of a single soul. Her pure white dress hung elegantly from her thin frame and flowed with every breeze. Her porcelain skin glowed in the afternoon light, a stark contrast to her midnight black hair that seemed to blot out all light. Her eyes were a mute emerald, nearly white, and her lips were painted red. She was the envy of every married man, and yet she was unhappy.

She was born into a royal family held in high esteem, but she was hidden from the world.

A secret.

Her face held a slight frown and her eyes glistened with years of unshed tears.

Even the heat of summer could not warm her iced heart. She had lost all warmth years ago. She had run away with three close friends. She had run from that house, that "family" that spoke of her in hushed tones and mocked her. They called her a failure. A disappointment. She was nothing to them, nothing more than false hope. Hope for a child that could carry on the family was shattered by her disability. She was, is, blind.

She couldn't see with her eyes. They marked her, cast her aside like a broken glass. She wasn't broken then, but she is now. She is not broken physically, but mentally.

She has a broken heart. She had dropped her guard and fallen. She had fallen in love.

How fitting would it have been for her to fall through his fingers that day. How fitting would it have been for her to fall from the man she loved, loves? Falling from the man who stole her heart, her hopes, and dashed them upon the rocks of carelessness.

She would die, most certainly, for all things must. She would die falling, falling for him. She would die of a broken heart.
