Marco was sad. He couldn't sleep couldn't eat couldn't look anyone in the eyes. All he could think about was star. Why she had left, what she said she felt felt for him, what Marco felt for her. It was all so confusing... He lost track of days, tried to talk to Jackie about his problems but could barely last a minute without bursting into tears and moaning unintelligibly. Jackie was patient but recently told Marco she needed a little space. Marco sobbed he was locked inside his room his bed damp with tears. He didn't know how he would live he couldn't imagine life without star. In his recent memory the only memories without star was crying and being dumped. He moaned again, thinking how he had had it all. Suddenly Marco stopped he had an idea, life was terrible without star right? Well there was a solution to that.

Marco immediately fell back into tears, how could he even consider that? What would his parents think? How would his classmates react? Marco couldn't bare to cause people to be sad. In a sudden fit of anger and rebellious teen angst he thought that no one would care if he was gone, that even if they did life wasn't worth living for others. Life was unbearable without star that was final.

Marco wiped away his tears knowing what he wanted to do. He set to work tearing his sheets and tying them into a rope, working almost purely as a distraction. After a few hours he had done it made a noose and had hung it too. He looked at his work solemnly and cried again.

He couldn't believe he had actually considered this, he couldn't even imagine what his parents would have to do, bury their only child. Oh Jackie too would think he's weak he cried harder at this thought. Then the worst curse of all star's smile crossed his mind. He looked at the noose again and shuddered. How would she ever know anyways he thought

Days passed. Marco hadn't slept since he hung the noose. He had decided that chance would decide his fate. Marco looked out the window and saw it was night. Marco in a confused state of hunger and depression wondered downstairs and got a box of cereal and took it to his room. When he looked he noticed that it was stars favorite and instead of crying he smiled. He was happy that he knew star even if they were to never meet again. Marco flipped the coin HEADS I LIVE, TAILS I DIE he thought.

Heads the coin decided.

664 flips later and heads was still the only result the coin had yielded. Flip 666: heads

Flip 667:heads

Marco sighed he was afraid of that one. Not that he was religious just... He's literally met a demon...

Flip 668: tails.

Marco looked at the coin and a tear came to his cheek. It was time it would seem. A box of cereal under his jacket and a quarter in his pocket Marco stood on his bed and tightened the noose around his neck. Just before he jumped he yelled I Love you star!

The noose didn't break his neck it was choking him. Marco realized he didn't want to die he thought of all his regrets and this would be the big one. Suddenly the rope tears Marco drops to the floor hitting the top of his head and passing out due to lack of oxygen and head trauma. Mr. and Mrs. Diaz were knocking on the door desperately wondering what had happened. Mr. Diaz finally bust down the door and startled Marco awake. Marco clumsily stood up quickly cut off his torn bedsheets with his dimensional scissors and looked at his shocked parents. Marco looked up, looked at his parents and down at the ground. He silently walked backwards into the unknown to avoid confrontation with his parents.
