Down the Rabbit Hole

Down the rabbit hole she falls,
Not knowing what awaits her

Dark and twisted, her Wonderland has become
No longer joyful, but filled with pain and fear

Is it reality or just a dream
Of this she cannot be sure

Ten years of torture
Beating away at her sanity

The fire's flames, triggering memories
Mother and Father, screaming in the dark

The forbidden now a reality
Disturbing images, no longer a dream

To the end she must fight
Not only for her life, but for her sanity as well

Everything she touches becomes the crimson of blood
A welcoming sight, after years of blackness

Flying on the wings of steam,
She knows not what awaits her

Only the disturbed dare to venture here,
For who could have imagined this, if not for the insane?

All that was forbidden, meant for the deranged,
Now within arm's grasp

Alone she must walk,
Trying to set right what is now wrong
