Now mermaids and mermen all over the world are being pulled out from the ocean and into conservative tanks where they are tortured for information on more creatures and locations from other tribes. The 'good' ones are put into aquariums, where they mostly get weak from the lack of sea water and sometimes die. Some are bought by rich people to keep in the house. After ten years of killing there are almost none left in the ocean and it is mostly prohibited to enter it, but even now, mermaids and mermen are being dragged out of the sea and through the streets when no one's looking; and the people who see or listen, do not speak or interfere out of fear./span/p
