I got tagged for this on Tumblr, and the prompt immediately got me into thinking up Ai holding a gun. Hahaha.
Disclaimer: I cheated cuz Ai could have shot him dead many times. LMAO. I am still new to this CoAi writing thing... Please be nice...?
He tried to catch his breath. He was 100% sure he saw them head in this direction of the port, but after taking a right turn they're nowhere in sight… Must be hiding behind one of these large vessels.
Shinichi hid himself behind a vessel as well, and went over his plans and strategy again. Locate Vodka and Korn, tranquilise one and use his soccer ball with the other. He ran out of his hiding place until a bullet grazed his shoulder. The graze shot burned and he could feel blood seeping from the wound. He was shocked as he turned to find the person who fired.
"Haibara?!"
"I'm sorry Kudo-kun," she was cold, her gun still pointed at him, "I won't miss it the next time."
"I thought – " she was supposed to be safe, he had it all planned out. He can't immobilise her now either. He can't use his left arm due to her shot, and he's got his other one trying to stop the bleeding. Damn.
"They found me, and I turned myself in," her cold voice broke him out of his thoughts and answering it. Like she has always done. Her pistol clicked, "Be careful of what you say."
She's bugged? When did they get to her?! If they've gotten to her it means even those he'd wanted safe probably aren't any longer. The detective tried not to panic at the thought of his plans are all crumbling down in front of him as she raised her pistol.
"I'll shoot. I mean, you thought I actually loved you?" her warm brown eyes were cold as she finally looked at him.
She's buying him time, or she would've shot him by now. Think! Knowing the BO, they must have someone watching from afar.
"Goodbye, Meitantei-san."
