Voldemort spoke the words almost lazily. A smile was on his face but his eyes were cold.
Some had said that the curse didn't kill if you don't mean to. But he did and so he died.
The glasses fell off his nose and shattered into a thousand pieces.
Was there pain? He couldn't tell. Not enough time.
Enough though to think about the people he loved and would now see again.

He watched. He always did. It was all he could do.
He'd seen the pain it had caused when he went through the veil.
He'd never forgot the realization strike and the tears, which fell.
