Today was the day, culmination of years of location scanning, broken encryption, study, and practice in the art of disguise. Ivy was alive with adrenaline. Heart thumped, and mind raced. Memorized codes flitted through her mind, as she adjusted her posture this one final time. Sweat filled her black gloves.
Today, Ivy finally infiltrated VILE.
Confidently, she opened the door. In the same way, she gave her answers.
"First password?"
"Hypatia of Alexandria."
"Second password?"
"José Bonifácio de Andrada e Silva." Accent perfect, and for Ivy that was no mean feat.
"Capital of Georgia?" Harder to prepare for randomly generated passwords.
"T'bilisi for country or Atlanta for state. In the past, Savannah, Augusta, Louisville,and Milledgeville." Nailed it.
Evil chief smiled. "Hello, Carmen."
"Hello, chief."
"How are you?"
Ivy started her walk into the hideout.
"No." Her path abruptly blocked. "I mean, how are you, Carmen?"
"So, how'd it go sis?"
The detective scowled. "How'd what go?"
"Earth to Ivy? The VILE spy scheme? Did ya get in?"
"Oh that… yeah, it didn't work."
"What! Why?"
"Couldn't guess one of her passwords."
