ColbiWest and DSCWin, hhere another small story on Twilight, it´s just a tought i had after listening to a Cat Steven´s song "Father and Son''
The story bellow takes place in the first book / movie, after when Bella goes to the Cullen´s house for the first time. (it´s basically a deleted scene i think it needed to be written)

FATHER AND SON TALK
Once Edward got back home, after left Bella in her home after the Family meeting, the young vampire got surprised when entering his room and spotting his adoptive father sitting there, waiting for him.
''Carlisle?'' the younger vampire asked ''it´s something wrong?''
''Edward, since you are a mind reader. I suppose you already know why I'm here'' said the older vampire ''but let´s do something humans usually do, let´s have a father-son talk'' said Dr. Cullen with a warm smile ''have a sit Edward'' he said and Edward obey
''what is it Carlisle'' he asked, trying his best to not read his father´s mind
''Edward, I'm really happy that you finally find someone to love, I really am'' he started ''your mother and I were discussing, how Bella brought you back to life''
''thank you''
''but I also ask myself, it´s fair what you´re doing?'' Carlisle looked serious at his son
''what you mean Carlisle?''
''Edward, Bella is a fine girl, she really is. It´s surprise me how she doesn´t get afraid of us and we like her very much…Even Rosalie, I am sure'' he started ''but she´s a human and as everyone else, even us vampires, she commit mistakes and she could put our existence in danger if by accident she let out something about you or any of us''
''she promise not saying anything''
''even so, even if she keep quiet about our nature, you´re dating a human and I'm afraid that any moment, you can put her life in danger, in any sense of ways and if this happened and if you accidently do put her in danger we will have a bigger problem, not only with the Volture, but with the human in general…think about this, what we will tell her father that she died in the hand of her boyfriend, because he speed his car and get our unharmed?'' Carlisle asked and Edward lowered his eyes
''I can control myself Carlisle, you can trust me'' Edward insist
''I trust you son, but I'm worried about you, if this romance does not work out. I do not want to see my son suffering.''
''Carlisle, believe me, I tried to maintain Bella away from me'' he said and the doctor nodded
''I heard you telling Emmett yesterday how Bella´s blood affect you, it´s your own imperial affliction and I'm worry about it''
''I understand Carlisle, thank you'' Edward nodded ''I promise if I realize that something bad is going to happen, I'll walk away''
''I trust in your wisdom son and I want you to be happy no matter what''
''thanks Carlisle, for been my father in all the situation'' the younger vampire smiled ''you´re looking like that guy from that movie you and Esme watched yesterday''
''what movie?''
''I don´t remember the name, there´s an old human who disapprove his daughter romance''
''oh… Believe me Edward, the last thing I want is a big vampire wedding. And your mother and I don´t disapprove your romance with the himan, we just want you… both of you to be careful'' Carlisle patted Edward shoulder and left the room, leaving the young vampire alone with his thoughts.
