Hello, readers! This is my first Ninjago: Masters of Spinjitzu (N:MoS) fanfic about the ending of Episode 6: The Snake King! (Even though my story doesn't even show Pythor here. :P) Anyway, before you read this, I have three things to clear out. First, is the Serpentine. When they talk, I don't want to prolong the –s they say because I'm lazy and I just don't want to do it. Second: Is the beginning. Sorry, if I made a few mistakes on the dialogue. I only relied on my hearing to do the dialogue, so it's most likely that I misheard a thing or two. Third, this is my first time using P.O.V.s (point-of-views) so tell me how I did. Anyway, R&E! (Read and Enjoy!)
Disclaimer: I don't own Ninjago, or any of its characters. All respective shows or characters go to their respective owners, who I thank so much for bringing Ninjago into our life.
Nya's P.O.V.
I was flying my jet pack away from the City of Ouraborus and especially away from the ninja. You see, I was captured a few hours ago, forced to fight the ninja, but of course, I was totally faking it. After all, even though I was the Samurai, they were still my friends. Plus, one of them just happens to be my brother. At least they sucked at trying to know my identity. It was a relief, but it was annoying how they just come out of nowhere and attack her, when she was just minding her business. I gasped once my jet pack's fuel went out. Shoot. I landed painfully on the sand below. Some sand ended up in my mouth. I spat in disgust. The Golden Weapons landed near me.
"Testing...Testing...One. Two." I said, frustrated. My voice alteration wasn't working properly, so I took off my helmet to see better my surroundings.
"Nya?" I gasped. That sounded like...I took a quick look at the origin of the voice, and was unfortunate to find that my brother was indeed there. I quickly took on my helmet as a futile attempt of hiding myself.
"Steer clear ninja! Don't look..." I sighed and put my helmet off. "At me." I lowered my head. I'm done, dead, caught.
"I don't understand," Kai said, walking closer. "You're the Samurai?" He asked in disbelief. A small part of me was proud, he looked completely shocked. I did a really good job in hiding my identity.
"It was always a boys' club. You never let me try to help...so I found my own way to be a hero." I explained, a little embarrassed of my own explanation. Now that I vocally said my reason to Kai, I sounded a little selfish. "Are you mad?' I asked him. His face was indescribable.
"Mad?!" He asked. He sounded so shocked that I asked such a question. "Of course not!" He exclaimed. I was slightly relieved.
"It's just that...All this time, I've been trying to protect you..." He explained, looking amazed. "...and you've never needed it. You're amazing!" I was slightly surprised of his complement. I smiled.
"Girl power!" I lightly punched his arm, and he rubbed it with his other hand. I felt so awkward...and judging by the look on my brother's face, he felt the same way as I did. I scratched my head nervously. "You're not gonna tell the others, are you?" I asked him, with a pleading and worried expression.
"But we have a bet; We said whoever caught the Samurai would be the Green-" I cringed. He didn't look so enthusiastic of keeping my identity a secret and sighed. "Of course I won't say anything." He said, most likely feeling forced.
"How did you make all these stuff?" He asked me, gesturing to my jet pack.
"You'd be surprised how much spare time I have waiting for you guys to come back from your missions." I put my helmet on and grabbed the Golden Weapons. "You better head back-." I was just about to hand him the Golden Weapons when I was suddenly interrupted by Kai.
"Nya, watch out!" He shouted and pushed me aside. When I looked back at him, I saw a Constrictai holding unto him. I quickly got to my feet and got to a fighting position. I yelped when Skales suddenly shot out of the sand.
"Well, well, well. Look who we have here." Skales said, he eyed me and Kai. I hoped neither the Constrictai nor Skales heard Kai calling me Nya.
"The fire ninja just saved the Samurai. Looks like you two have...bonded." He said and slithered to Kai. "Did you bond just enough to figure out who this Samurai is?" Skales whispered into Kai's ear, but I heard it loud and clear. I instantly froze. My heart is suddenly beating faster than before. I scolded myself. I don't have to be nervous. Kai would never tell anyone about my secret, especially those snake scum.
"I'm so sorry to disappoint, but no, I didn't." Kai snapped. "Even if I did know, I definitely wouldn't tell the likes of you."
"Now, now, don't be too snappy!" Skales said and slithered away from him. His tone was that of a teacher scolding his pupil. "I was just curious to know who the Samurai is." He looked at me in a way that said that he would know very soon. I took a step back. I would have loved to give him a snappy remark, but with my voice alteration going haywire, I shouldn't even say a word.
"Hey, I just had a thought!" He exclaimed, even though it was totally obvious that he was faking it. "I found a way to find out for myself who the Samurai is!" He tried to catch me, but I was still on-guard so I quickly dodged him. What I didn't expect is that he'd use his hypnotic powers on me. I suddenly felt really sleepy. The swirling movement in his eyes were so mesmerizing that I couldn't look away, but then I heard Kai.
"Ny-Samurai! Snap out of it!" Kai shouted. That gave me new-found focus. I snapped out of Skales' hypnosis and squeezed my eyes tight.
"You pesky ninja!" Skales exclaimed. I heard sand shift and Kai's scream of pain. I opened my eyes to see Kai glaring at Skales, but he was also gasping for air. The Constrctai squeezed him tight.
"That will teach you to shut up, fire starter." He scolded. Kai looked at me with pain eyes, as he muttered the word, 'go'. Does he really expect me to go while he's still in danger?
"I'll be fine, I promise!" He shouted, once he caught his breath. He yelled in pain once the Constrictai squeezed him again.
"Be a good Samurai and give me the Golden Weapons." Skales said, slithering over to me. As if I would. I grabbed the Golden Weapons and held them tight. "Would you really want to see your ninja friend in more pain." That made me rethink. Skales snapped his fingers and the Constrictai squeezed him harder than before. Kai's screams were even more pained.
"Stop!" I screamed. Kai slowly looked me in the eye.
"I said go!" I instinctively turned on my jet pack and wished it still had enough fuel for one last trip. To my relief, I heard the engine roaring as I set off to the skies. I heard Skales cry in frustration. I figured I was only causing Kai more pain by staying. I couldn't bear the thought that he was being tortured because of me.
"I promise Kai, I'll come back for you." I muttered as I watched as Skales and the Constrictai dragged Kai underneath the sands. I grew worried for him, but now I was also even more determined. I headed over to where my exo-suit was. After that, I would set off to find the others.
Jay's P.O.V.
After the Samurai's exo-suit crashed, we all slowly stood up and I was the lucky one who landed on a sand-mountain-thingy. When I looked for the others, I was relieved to see Zane and Cole stand up, but someone was missing.
"Where's Kai?" I shoutedly-asked, but no one knew. Oh this is bad, really bad! We all drastically searched the sands, but we didn't find any sign of him.
"Great, now what?" I asked Cole and Zane.
"We should split up and look for him." Cole ordered. We were just about to split up when the Samurai landed in front of us...Scratch that. He landed on me. Awesome, I always wanted to experience the feeling of the Samurai crashing into me.
"What are you doing here?" I asked, I was lying down on my stomach, and my hand was holding my head. He got up and lent me a hand, but I just ignored it and dusted myself off. I'm sorry, but I don't want to get his germs.
"Yeah, what are you doing here?" Cole demanded.
"I need your help." That both surprised and annoyed us.
"Oh, so the All-Powerful Samurai needs help!" I exclaimed, crossing my arms. "As if."
"Besides," Cole said. "We're kind of busy here."
"Our friend Kai is missing." Zane finished. The Samurai sighed.
"That's exactly why I need your help. You're friend Kai has been captured by the Serpentine." What? Kai's captured…by the Serpentine? That definitely took our air out...that means all of us gasped.
"I'm sorry," He continued. "but I couldn't stop them." Wait, are we supposed to believe this guy?
"Why should we trust you?" I asked him. The Samurai looked frustrated.
"So you boneheads think I'm lying? Aren't we on the same side? Why would I lie to you?"
"Well, if you are asking for our help, calling us boneheads is not going to increase your probability of us helping." Zane said.
"Yeah! What if you are lying? I think you're not telling the truth!" Jay exclaimed. The Samurai rolled his eyes.
"Yeah, that totally wasn't obvious."
"Hey!" The Samurai sighed.
"Okay, look, I'm sorry. I'm just really worried for him." The Samurai said as he lowered his head. His voice was filled with so much worry and care that I almost believed him. The question that was ringing in my mind was...how come the Samurai cared for Kai this much? Did they have some sort of connection with each other?
"How do you know Kai anyway?" Cole asked. The Samurai looked at him wearily.
"Let's just say...we've known each other for a really long time now." Cole still looked mystified, but otherwise nodded.
"Alright, we'll trust you." Cole said. I was shocked.
"What are you doing?!" I asked him, crossing my arms. He grabbed my arm and dragged me away.
"Look, I know you don't like this guy. I don't too, but what if he's telling the truth? We couldn't risk letting Kai stay in danger." Cole explained. I hate to admit it, but he had a point, but still... "Besides, he's just like normal clientele. He asks for help, so we help them. That's just what we do." I sighed.
"Fine." I reluctantly agreed.
"Don't worry Jay. We'll make sure to keep a close eye on him." Cole assured me. I wasn't assured. We headed back to the Samurai.
"Alright, we'll help you, but don't think for even a second that we're doing this for you." I snapped. He nodded.
"Great," He tossed me a bag that was filled...with our Golden Weapons! "You'll be needing these." The Samurai said, his big wgo coming back. I groaned, frustrated.
"You'll need to keep up with me." He explained. "Next stop is Ouroboros. (I looked it up this time.)" He said and pushed a button on his arm, making the exo-suit go to him. He flew up with no hesitation, so we quickly changed our weapons into vehicles. Before we left though, I took Kai's sword. He's going to need it.
Nya's P.O.V.
I flew as fast as I can, though I did look back a few times if the guys were keeping up. I don't mean to be rude or anything. It's just that, I wanted to save Kai no matter what. He's been such a great brother, protecting me from all sorts of dangers. When I was captured by Lord Garmadon, the guys said he would stop at nothing in getting me back.
He had no time wasted, he just kept going. He always did try to protect me, even if I didn't need it and at times he got annoying. He was always so passionate in protecting me ever since mom and dad were gone. I would gladly do the same for him. He's the only family I got left.
So now that he's in trouble, I'm gonna make sure I save him. I won't let him down, just like when he didn't let me down when I was kidnapped. I have to make it up to him. It's the least I can do for all he's done to me. I finally saw the silhouette of the city ahead. We're near.
"I promise Kai, I'll use everything in my power to get you back." I whispered to myself while we were going nearer and nearer to the place I just know my brother's being held captive: Ouroboros.
Soooo, did you like it? Because if you did then I'd be more than happy to post another chapter! I'd already written it in my notebook. Just send me a review to let me know you liked it. Anyway, in the next chapter we'll see what happened to Kai. There will also be a slight twist. There is only one clue as to what it is: It may seem like it's no big deal, but you'll never know if you'll get proven wrong. So that's my preview on my fanfic's most important happening, so you'll have to be really smart to know what it is. Anyway, R&R! (Read and Review!)
