From the Dark to the Dragon

Slither on, child of silver

And emerald green,

You'll walk on the lowly

And marry your queen.

Just you wait for your moment,

Sleep well, come it will,

Sleep so sweetly, young Dragon,

You've blood yet to spill.

Just you wait in your cradle

And mourn for your king,

And remember the pain

The unworthy ones bring.

Nurse yourself on the hate

Of the brave and the bold,

When you kill, watch them bleed,

Is it crimson and gold?

Sleep so soft, child of silver,

And wait for the day,

When you find our destroyer,

Don't push him away,

Pull him into your arms,

Keep him close to your heart,

Draw your knife when it's time

For his soul to depart.

Slither on, child of silver,

Sweet hatred's son,

You lie in wait

For the Chosen One.

***

You have failed me, Dragon,

Will ever you learn?

You must know only me,

You are slave to the burn.

Now I'll give you a chance,

Far more chance than you've earned,

You must blacken the white,

And we'll see what you've learned.

You may fret, you may fight,

When you fail, you may weep,

You may yearn for the days

'Fore I haunted your sleep,

But your window of chance,

Slips on slowly to none,

Dry your eyes, you have deeds

That have yet to be done.

I have blackened your arm,

Stole the light from your eyes,

But you work and you serve,

'Till the headmaster dies.

But you failed not, dear Dragon,

In fact, you did well,

So I welcome you in

To your personal Hell,

Because this is the Dark side,

The absence of light,

For whom do you suffer?

For whom do you fight?

You haven't an answer,

You fight just for you,

And it all comes to nothing.

This agony's true.

So crawl on, child of silver,

What else could you be?

Because you are the lowly,

You answer to me.
