Alice's Story
This is my story, my name is Alice,
I fell down a hole and drank from a chalice.
I shrunk and I grew, then I shrunk yet again,
And opened a door to beautiful garden.
There were strange creatures in that wondrous land,
They said I wasn't Alice and I didn't understand.
But then all of a sudden I was being chased,
By a terrifying beast with a snarl on its face.
I ran and I ran, and I got to a clearing,
And I met a cat that kept disappearing.
"I'll take you to the Hatter" he said to me,
Take me to the Hatter, what could that mean?
When we got to a tea party I met a man there,
He was wearing a top hat and had bright orange hair.
He walked towards me, "you're absolutely Alice!",
Then he made me drink from another chalice.
He told me his past and of Frabjous Day,
Said a 'Jabberwocky' was something I'd have to slay.
Then I was thrown across a lake covered in fog,
And slept until I was later found by a dog.
I said "Take me to the castle, to rescue the Hatter",
he said that wasn't foreseen and I said it didn't matter.
He took me to the castle and I lied to the Queen,
"My name is 'Um' and people are mean"
But the plan went wrong, I was no longer concealed,
They knew I was Alice, I was revealed.
So I ran from the castle, I could not delay,
To the White Queen very far away.
Then later at the castle the Hatter arrived,
I was so very glad that he was alive.
The planning for Frabjous Day had begun,
I told them "I can't slay something, it cannot be done!"
I ran into Absolem and realised things,
He was ending his life and growing new wings.
He had to move on and so did I,
"I can't slay the Jabberwocky, but at least I must try"
Later in battle I fought and I fell,
But I got back up and all was hell.
Both sides were fighting, the war had begun,
But I slayed the Jabberwocky and the White Queen won.
The Red Queen and her Knave were banished together,
and were never to be given any kindness ever.
Then the Hatter danced, and we all laughed,
and then the White Queen gave me a draught.
I said farewell to the Hatter, I'd miss him a lot,
He said I ought to stay but I knew I could not.
Then it went black and I was out of that land,
Back in my own, and it seemed so bland.
This is my story, my name is Alice,
I fell down a hole and drank from a chalice.
I'll never forget about the Wonderland war,
Someday I'll go back and crawl through that door.
