What a peaceful sound to wake up to. The sound of a lone Christmas caroler, singing about why I should get my fat butt up before poison gets put in my eggnog. The song of the beautiful morning birds, interrupted by a fire alarm, Liz probably tried to cook… again. Why do I always wake on Christmas to Patty singing about how I will die if she does not open presents, and Liz trying to cook? This was the 3rd year. I turn to look at the clock 8:00 am exactly. Liz, Patty you are forgiven to the rude awakening.

Then I hear the door being knocked on rapidly. "Kid the kitchens on fire!" I hear Liz yell though the door. At this I stand, struggle to get my pants on, fumble with the lock on my door, pull open the door, and sprint for the kitchen. I run get into the kitchen to see my friends siting in the kitchen most half asleep. Maka, Soul, BlackStar, Tsubaki, and Crona.

Soul points and laughs "Put a shirt on bro" he mumbles before yawning, revealing his sharp teeth. Everybody looks at me. Liz and Patty Thomson you will be walking to school while I ride Beelzebub.

"Liz just told me the kitchen was burning down." I say, while thinking of a way to get back at them. Soul and BlackStar laugh like lunatics, Tsubaki tries to hide a giggle and Maka was reading and did not care. Liz walks into the kitchen proud smile, while Patty was complaining that we needed to open presents.

BlackStar looks disappointed then strikes a pose where he is standing on my table, looking into the sky, and pointing a thumb at his chest. "I WAS GOING TO THROW KID INTO A SNOW BANK! NOW I CAN'T BECAUSE OF YOUR STUIPED JOKE! YOUR GOD SHALL FORGIVE YOU IF YOU KISS MY SHOES!" BlackStar screeches at Liz. As a Shinigami I am immune to changes in temperature. I think proud that BlackStar does not know.

Then Liz decides to talk "It won't matter Kid can't feel changes in temperature." Liz then looks at me smile across face. You have not won yet Liz. I don't know when the prank war started but I will win.

"Because Liz is my weapon partner she is immune to temperatures too. Throw us both in." I look at Liz innocently, letting a small smile work its way onto my face. She looks at me dumb struck, jaw open. I win!
