Summary: Topaz and Rubin can't sleep. As they unintentionally stargaze, Topaz spots a shooting star in the sky …

Notes:

#1 - Number one on my little FTDL (Forever Trilogy Drabble List). I have no idea what the next pairing will be, though it will probably be MezzoForte [Shirou Kazuo x Cerise Rosso] or AmazonMoon [Gold Kimu Jr. x Sapphira Senri].

#2 – A Beta-Alpha AU is what I like to call the Alpha Line characters in the Beta universe.

#3 – If Rubes and Topaz act OOC, I made this to be fluffy and cliché on Rubin's part. So don't judge me.

He stood there, his hands in his pockets staring at Pallet Town. From here, he could see the beach, waves still crashing upon the sandy shores. Rubin could even see a few Magikarp swimming around here and there. A lighthouse in the distance was the only light, besides the millions of bright stars upon the dark blue, cloudless sky. The moon shone a magnificent shade of silver, and everything seemed tranquil. He liked it that way. Unfortunately, he grew up with a flamboyant, hotheaded sister and friends insane enough to set an entire town on fire with just a single spark.

"What are you doing out here?"

Rubin quickly turned around and was met with the intense, orange eyes of Topaz Rosso. She was wearing a bright amber T-shirt, and short shorts, quite fitting for the summer. "Oh, hi, Topaz. I didn't see you there."

"Obviously," Topaz gave a small grin. "You had your back turned. What's got you up here in the middle of the night?"

Rubin sat upon the hill and continued gazing at the stars. "I couldn't sleep." Rubin flicked his head back, beckoning Topaz to come and sit beside him.

"Me neither."

"What, Crimson start snoring again?" Rubin asked, amusement dancing in his bright, sapphire eyes.

Topaz replied with a light laugh. "It's not my fault the walls to our house are like thin cardboard."

As the two let their bodies fall on the soft, green blades of grass, their eyes flashed towards the stars illuminating the dull, navy blue sky.

"It's beautiful," Topaz whispered, the words barely passing her lips. A cool breeze blew across, picking up strands of Topaz's hair and spreading them across her eyes.

"But it's not as beautiful as you," Rubin turned, keeping his eyes fixed on Topaz. He gently placed his finger on her forehead, pushing her bangs from her face. Topaz smiled. "A bit cliché, don't you think, Rubes?"

Rubin blushed as red as a Cheri berry.

"Don't worry; I think it's kind of cute."

Rubin's blush lightened to a Pecha pink, and they continued to stargaze in silence. Until a mutter from Topaz make him look to the sky.

"Shooting star," she murmured faintly.

A white flash streaking across the sky, a neon blue aura following straight after it. "Make a wish, Rubes." Topaz closed her eyes softly, orange orbs disappearing with one single move.

Rubin gave one look towards Topaz and muttered, "That's fine, Topaz. I have everything I could want right here."

Yeah, that was cliché.

Yeah, no kiss. But I did say this was light Kummern, wasn't it?

I'm still technically a beginning writer, don't judge me too much. I was actually planning this drabble a long time ago, after Icey finished her Gym chapters. And there was this one drabble I wrote when Forevermore started about Kummern, but I lost that.
