"I'm home!" I called as I walked into the kitchen looking for a bottle of water.

"How was your date with Percy?" asked my roommate Thalia, sitting at the table working on homework.

"It went fine and for the umpteenth time, they're not dates." I reminded her, opening the fridge.

"Right, and water isn't wet. When are you going to admit to yourself that you're interested in Percy and that these friendly meetings of yours are totally dates." I herd her call.

"Never, because they aren't dates." I stated, closing the fridge door.

"Fine, then please tell me, what you and Percy do on these 'not-dates'?" She deadpanned, putting down her pencil.

"Well, today we went to Denny's and talked about how our week went, then we talked about similar childhood experiences we had, then we started asking each other about our thought on what movies looked good right now." I monologued, getting more annoyed by her ever growing smirk.

"Well you're 'not-dates' are better than most of the 'date-dates' I've been on this year. For someone as Smart as you Annabeth, you're really wasting a great opportunity here." She sighed, moving her homework out of the way. "I still don't see why you don't let him know you're interested."

"I told you Thalia, I'm way to busy with school right now for a relationship and I'd hate to ruin our friendship because of that." I groaned, drinking from my water bottle.

"So you don't have time for a relationship, but you have time for dinner and or breakfast dates with Percy every week." She quipped, giving me a sideways glance.

"This is different, and it's not every week, I have to cancel on Percy way to many times for him to want a relationship."

"Oh BS!" she gave me a hard look. "If you cancelling really upset him, he would have stopped trying to make plans with you months ago, and he'd be perfect for you because he's already use to your busy schedule."

"Why are you so adamant about me getting into a relationship?" I asked.

"Because, I don't want you to wake up one day, 30 years old and married to your work, especially when you have Mr. Perfect-for-you waiting to ask you out." She sighed, putting an arm on my shoulder.

"I appreciate the concern Thals, I really do. But, but I don't know if Percy is Mr. Perfect-for-me. He's really sweet, and attractive, but I don't have the time a relationship with him deserves. I'd end up not putting in enough time and he'd end up resenting me because it would seem like I didn't care "

" That's what makes Percy so great for you. He's not Perfect, but he thinks you are. I don't know about you but if I had to choose between Mr. Perfect and a man who thought I was perfect, it wouldn't be the first choice. Percy is that person for you; any one who's seen you two together can tell that he's head over heals for you. He'd give you the shirt off his back if it would make you happy."

"I'd believe it, but I only see him as a friend right now." I said, thinking back to our meeting earlier.

"Oh trust me, you like him. I can tell." stated Thalia

"Oh? Do tell." I requested, surprised.

"Oh I don't know, maybe it's the spring in your step when he's around, the extra thought you put into your text messages to him, or the dopey grin you have every time you get back from your 'not-dates,' not to mention you just admitted he's attractive. The biggest give away for me though, is the fact that you dream about him." She said, matter of factly.

"I do not dream about him." I retorted.

"You're dreaming about him right now?" she grinned, rising from the table.

"What?"

"You haven't realized yet? This is all a dream. You didn't just get back from Denny's. You haven't met with Percy in over a week. Any time now, you're alarm will go off and you're going to get up to meet him at Denny's for a breakfast date, and if I was you, I'd let him know how you feel, because we both know how he really feels."

There was a moment of silence before I could find my voice. "If you're not Thalia, than what are you?"

WACK!

"OW!" I yelped, rubbing my head.

"I give you that speech and that's your take away?! I'm your subconscious you idiot. And your subconscious is not so subtly telling you to get with Percy or you'll regret it. I sweat to god if – Do you hear that? It's breakfast time!"

BEEP BEEP BEEP

I hit the off button on my alarm clock, reeling from the events of my dream. "That's it, no more Oreos before bed for me."

"Good Morning Annabeth how was your week?" Asked Percy as we sat down in the Denny's Booth.

"It was good, busy as usual but now it's over and I have the weekend free."

"Wow, hell froze over, since you have a free weekend, want to do something, maybe see a movie?" he asked, flashing me a smile.

"Sure!" I blushed. "It's a date."
