Aria limped over the dead bodies. They were everywhere she looked. When she came to the edge of the forest, she stopped and looked around at her surroundings. She was in the middle of a vast area of trees next to a river with no shelter, food, or plan as to what she was to do.

She sat down at the edge of the cool blue water to bathe her soar and bleeding feet. Her shoes had been lost somewhere along with the fire.

The fire that had killed so many. Had her parents been killed in it too? Or were they slaughtered by the soldiers? So many questions unanswered.

She sat and thought to herself. Mother would have helped with my cuts.' She would of, but she's not here is she?' she said aloud to herself.

One thing was for sure. She was exhausted and was sure she'd lost track of the soldiers, so she curled up into a ball and fell into a deep dream filled sleep.
