Alphonse glanced at his older brother as they walked through the streets of Munich. There was nothing strange about him, not really, except that Edward let his long blonde hair down, which was unusual. Al noticed that his hair now reached the middle of his back. He had asked if Ed wanted to cut it but he had said no, stating no reason. Alphonse didn't pry, but he was still curious all the same. He cut his hair short as soon as he reunited with his big brother since he didn't feel the need to have his hair long any longer.

It was a snowy night. Mid December. There were still quite a lot of people walking around, Alphonse noted. They were probably shopping for the upcoming Christmas. He looked at his brother again, who seemed to be also lost in thoughts. He looked a little more feminine with his hair down, especially when it was at that length, despite being a little taller than Al. The younger Elric chuckled at the thought. Edward would rage if he knew what his little brother was thinking.

"What's so funny?" Alphonse turned to his brother and noticed the confusion and curiosity in his bright golden eyes.

The younger boy simply smiled. "Oh, nothing, Brother."

The walk was peaceful and the comfortable silence fell upon the brothers. It was only when they walked through a certain street that the chaos ensued.

"Hey, kid! Pretty lady you've got there!" A voice called out.

By instinct, Alphonse turned and saw a man, seemingly drunk, grinning. He notice his brother stiffened slightly. "Um…me?"

"Yeah, kid, I'm talkin' to ya!" The man walked closer to them, with two more of his friends joining him. His attention now shifted to Edward who still had his back turned to them. "Hey, beautiful, wanna play with us a little?"

Alphonse tensed at his brother's silence. Quiet Edward was a lot scarier than the loud one, but he couldn't help but internally chuckle at how these people thought Ed was a pretty girl. It felt seriously awkward to be mistaken as his older brother's boyfriend, though.

Edward turned his head slightly, but his bangs still covered most of his face. The man reached his hand out to grab Ed's shoulder.

"Don't be shy now, girly—" An automail fist to the face. Alphonse winced at the cracking sound of a definitely broken nose and probably cracked skull. The man landed on the ground, unconscious with a probable concussion.

The two remaining men froze in place as they turned to Edward who was emitting menacing and murderous aura around him, holding his automail fist up threateningly. His normally warm golden eyes were now golden blaze of fury. "Which one of you fuckers want to sleep next?"

He wasn't shouting, but it was because of the fact that he wasn't shouting made him even more threatening. Alphonse sweatdropped as he watched his brother leaped forward to land his punches on both other men, rendering them senseless on the ground. The younger Elric would normally stop the older from being too violent, but he knew that even he wouldn't be able to stop Edward from going on rampage this time. Calling him short was one thing, but calling him a girl was completely another story.

An officer approached them. "What is going on here?!"

Edward sent a heated glare at him, causing the said officer to flinch. He was opening his mouth to answer before Alphonse cut him off. He wasn't trusting his brother to answer the question properly while he was enraged.

Al smiled apologetically at the officer. "We're sorry for the commotion, officer, but these guys were assaulting us and my brother had only acted out in self-defense."

The officer looked surprised as he turned to the older Elric. "She's your—" The death glare from Ed was enough to shut his mouth. He coughed. "My apologies…It's just your hair…"

Alphonse sighed as he felt the angry flare from his brother. Edward growled angrily. "What's wrong with my hair?"

The officer faltered in his words. "…N-nothing, sir…"

Edward clicked his tongue and turned away. "Come on, Al. We're done here. Oh, and officer, send those guys to the hospital. They probably have concussion and some cracks on their skulls."

The officer gaped.

"B-Brother!" Alphonse called out, not before bowing before the officer. He caught up to his brother. "Seriously, Brother, you should at least try to be nice."

"Be nice to those bastards who thought I was a damn girl and tried to lure me? Yeah, not gonna happen."

"I mean to the officer, Brother…He wasn't trying to be offensive."

"Doesn't matter. He called me a 'she'."

Alphonse sighed. Brother will always be Brother no matter which world they were in. "Why didn't you tie your hair like you usually do, Brother? I doubt you would be mistaken as a girl if you did."

"…I forgot my scarf. Letting my hair down like this warms my neck." Ed said as he blushed lightly.

Alphonse stared at him for a few seconds before he started laughing, earning him a glare from his big brother. Edward was really something else. "And I just happened to bring your scarf with me! I thought you didn't bring it on purpose, but I brought it right before we left the apartment just in case." He produced a red scarf from his trench coat's pocket.

He should probably start running when he saw the darkened expression from his brother. "…Al. Phonse." Al gulped. "Prepare to run, my dear little brother…"

And that he did, with Edward chasing closely behind.

Despite themselves, a joyful grin was apparent on both brothers' faces.
