I Wonder If He Likes Horses…
Disclaimer: I do not own the rights to Harry Potter or any of his buddies. Rly. It's true. Believe me. (if u have read my other stories you might be able to tell that I'm running out of disclaimer ideas.)
A red-haired boy stopped in the corridor and looked through the glass door into their compartment. He grinned, and looked directly at Ellie. He winked. Then he was gone.
Ellie wondered who the kid was. She remembered seeing him last year, but couldn't remember his name. She knew he was in Gryffindor………and for some reason, felt like she should know exactly who he is.
But that was just it. She had no idea. She turned to ask her friends who he was, but the question died in her throat when she saw their faces. Their mouths were hanging wide open. "You know who that was, don't you?" whispered Stella, incredulously, obviously seeing the question written all over Ellie's face.
Ellie shook her head. "That was James Potter!" shouted Tenley, not bothering to contain her shock.
"Potter!" she yelled again when Ellie said nothing.
"I think he fancies you, Ellie," Stella added, giggling.
Ellie felt her face go red. "He does not," she mumbled. "Besides, if he did, I would have noticed it last year wouldn't I have?"
Tenley smiled, suddenly. "But you know, he does have his dad's invisibility cloak," Her and Stella started giggling uncontrollably. Ellie felt her face flush even hotter.
"I can't believe you didn't notice it last year!" Stella said, still laughing. "Invisible or not, he was always staring at you!"
At this point, she didn't think her face could get any redder. Tenley coughed a few times, then said, "Oh. We're almost there. I can almost see the castle. We'd better hurry up and get our robes on."

The three girls joined the slow moving crowd heading away from the great hall, where they had just finished a satisfying feast, and were full to the brim with food, and completely exhausted. Stella and Tenley didn't even bother to tease Ellie about James. A brunette girl, who was obviously a prefect, yawned widely and said, "Lightning Luminario." With a lazy "Mmmmm hmmm….." from the painting, the portrait of the fat lady swung open, revealing the Gryffindor common room. The girls all waddled up the staircase to the right, and the boys to the left. Each found their belongings neatly placed beside their designated four-poster bed. Ellie found her pajamas and settled herself into the cozy bed. She drew the scarlet hangings, and within minutes, was asleep.

She woke in the morning to find herself alone in the dormitory. Must have overslept. She thought as she pulled herself out of bed, and crossed the room to get a brush for her long, blonde, hair.
She came down into the common room to see Stella and Tenley sitting by the fireplace waiting for her. "We brought you some food!" said Tenley cheerfully. Ellie was handed a piece of toast and a few slices of cheese. "You missed breakfast," explained Stella. "I?.....Thanks you guys….I must have overslept." Ellie felt the sudden urge to be outdoors. "Do you mind if I leave for a while? I think I need some fresh air."
"We don't mind Ellie," said Tenley, looking mildly concerned.

Ellie skirted off to the far side of the lake to avoid running into James and a few of his friends who were all tickling the tentacles of the giant squid, a favorite pastime of many before them. She walked into the meadow, made sure she was out of sight, and transformed.
James looked up from the squid and saw a beautiful palomino, grazing on the other side of the lake.
