Everyone knew that Grissom ate things. 'Stuff' found at crimescenes. Sara wasn't even suprised when Greg got that decomp in his mouth and commented that, "Grissom would have tasted it on purpose."
That she agreed with. So, she had always been catious whne she kissed him at work. Not only because anyone could be watching, but he could have eaten anything when she wasn't watching him. Catherine found him spitting kethup once. Sure, it was for a case, but it didn't make her feelings about kissing Grissom with a mouthful of ketchup. Ew.
TTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT
Sara slipped into Grissom's office. The blinds were closed and he sat scribbling on his desk, obviously not wanting to be bothered.
"Hey."
Grissom's head came up, "Hey."
Sara scrutinized him as she walked over to his chair. He had deep rings under his eyes and heavy lids.
"Why don't you go home?"
"I have to finish these for Ecklie by tomorrow," he smiled sadly.
"Oh. It's also too bad that it's the middle of shift," Sara paused before she spoke softer, "I notice that you haven't been sleeping lately. Is everything okay?"
"If it wasn't, I would tell you, beleive me. It's just that I think about you and the job and how much I work when I want to be home, with you, making you the center of my world. I've been thinking of stepping down and switching positions with Catherine."
Sara smiled and wrapped her arms around his neck, "I support you nomatter what you choose."
"Thank you."
Grissom slowly came to her lips and kissed her. When they broke, Sara had an odd look on her face.
"What's wrong?" He was concerned that he had done something wrong.
"Uh...Baby, what did you eat?"
"Oh, I've just been snacking on some chocolate covered grasshoppers, Why?"
Sara turned green as she lurched for the door, "I think I've got cricket in my mouth!"
Before Grissom could answer, she was hurrying down the hall.
LLLLLLLLLLLL
Catherine entered the bathroom to an odd site. Sara was at the sink with a whole dentist office spread out. Just as Sara finished spiting out her mouthwash and reached for her toothbrush, she saw Catherine's smirk.
"What?" She asked the reflection.
"I was just wondering why you would be proforming advanced dentistry in the bathroom?"
"You don't want to know."
Sara added some mint toothpaste to the brush and began to scrub vigerously.
